Now that the presenter's actually been able to talk for longer than three seconds without getting off-track, this is actually interesting. Hurray for semi-pro presentations?

I love tom.

Once again, the 2.1Ghz number was just OC. That's not what they are going to sell. It was just a demonstration.

The card is clocked at 1733 MAX (non OC).

This brings it back to the specs already leaked. Absolutely nothing new up to this point.

Specced boost clock is not necessarily the max the card will boost stock.

Can you blame him though, he's the CEO and this is streaming to thousands of customers and shareholders and he did try to inject humor into but it just got old really fast. Tom fucked up.

Why didn't they do a dry run? Or just fucking record video instead of doing it live?

Show me the gains and I'll be impressed. Show me frames in games and where having that higher clock really changes how games play.
Eh this conference is not for you then.

You might as well wait till July for the Techspot/Anand/Linus benchmarks.

Personally I'm nerding out big time.

I don't even know what is going on? Is this comedy? Do they give a fuck about the presentation? Am I too high to post? Are nvidia employees high?

This conference would be half the length if Jen stopped repeating every statement. Repeating every statement.

I dunno, maybe he should have run through his presentation a few times instead of winging it.

But that's just me. I'm not a CEO.

I am still just blown away at the amazing performance at that power consumption, it's like they are working to be the Tesla of GPUs and processing. I mean. Seriously. The the narrowing of the power fluctuation, and the power usage vs older cards. I mean. Damn.

I can't get a loan for this though, but I love the future tech implications.

I want 1070 details since x80 has historically been overpriced.

What's interesting is that this is basically a hardware-based extension of the viewport-morphing which already occurs in the software drivers for the Rift and Vive. So essentially while it's interesting that we can now have 16-monitor surround, the big deal is that it basically gives you VR projection for free instead of right now where it requires CPU and GPU resources.

It's made for gaming technology enthusiasts.

Nvidia is probably the only company who considers us a primary market.

True. I don't think I'm in that crowd. It was when the host said that the distortion caused by angled screens is "hideous" or "ugly" or "disgusting" (I can't remember which word it was) and I thought, "Meh, it's okay. Turn the screens back if it bothers you." that I realized I was not in the target audience.

I'v watched these before, I set up virtual work stations, and have considered nvidia GRID for our production house.

This seriously shows me nothing thats mind blowing, and until they present this tech on teh stage running with a partner company's software or hardware, it means nothing.

NVIDIA graphics and all, but HOLY SHIT 50% boost for double viewport?
That'd be crazy insane.
