You know, I was wondering what Beane was thinking when he traded for Loserhans. We basically fleeced him for Hudson- gave him Charles Thomas, who is a 4th outfielder at best and a pitching prospect that turned out to never be anything. Surely he couldn't be bit twice by the same guy?

Then I see he traded ol' Loserhans for Snelling. I guess it was all a part of Operation: Fleece the Nats.

I didn't really think she was, I just tied it to baseball so there was a reason to post it here rather than a new topic. Wanted to share the wealth with my baseball buddies. :)

Well Langerhans is young, has a good defensive rep, and has been a serviceable history. He cost Beane essentially nothing. But yeah, being able to turn him around for another serviceable role player in Snelling, who probably fits their style better.

I wish the Mariners had leadership smart enough to make these kinds of moves.

I'll be rooting for Snelling to succeed.

She's 18 now.. probably did track for a few years. In all likelihood she's 15 or so in that pic. Looks like she came into her own as she aged. The pic of her signing her LOI was when she was 17 and she looks a lot older than this photo.

ffs, comes up with the bases juiced and 1 out and lines into a double play. This guy has been the biggest fantasy bust of the season so far (that hasnt been due to injury). Jermaine Dye hasn't been much better.

Michael Young has always been overrated. This year he's finally showing his true self more often than not.
 
Mets just optioned Chan Ho Park to AAA New Orleans. Good rubbish to bad riddance, I always say. Just trade him back to Korea for a Japanese anime series to be named later, God. Can't believe I endorsed this move in the spring, but I didn't know he lost 4 -5 MPH off the fastball.

ESPN's Buster Olney reports that Carl Pavano (a.k.a The American Idle) is getting checked out by Dr. James Andrews to check out tightness in his shoulder.

I'm pissed at him for fantasy reasons more so than anything, but for the record, you do realize that Hudson and Smoltz are both Braves, right?
