Absolutely pathetic.....

Right handed hitter not named Carl Lewis gets a triple on a ball down the left field line and then Salty boots an easy grounder.

5-9 this month

Black June ver 2.0 confirmed

Gordo won with 4 ER! LI-BER-TAD LI-BER-TAD LI-BER-TAD!

:lol @ the Yahoo! article about Psylidge looking to the Crusades to help him improve his game.

Hey, if the Cubs are interested Moises Alou/Scott Schoeneweis for Cliff Floyd/Willy Ohman straight up.

**** man, you DO NOT want Ohman. He is White Sox awful.

And this is an actual scouting report from the Diamondbacks on the Yankees. I think it's really cool to see an official scouting report. I wish more shit like this would leak.

Alex Rodriguez: “HOT right now. ... Chases a lot of BB’s w/2-strikes, both away and in dirt. CH is fine when away. ... (vs. left-handers) Hard in, soft away. Ladder FB w/2-strikes.”
Story continues below ↓advertisement

Derek Jeter: “Will bunt and H&R. ... Runs early. ... Struggles w/ball down/in and will chase SL away. ... Get ahead. Fairly aggressive so will need to mix pitches and locations 1st pitch.”

Bobby Abreu: “HOT right now. ... Good guy to crowd once you’re ahead. Hammers 1st pitch FB’s away w/RISP.”

Johnny Damon: “(vs. right-handers) Struggling w/soft stuff. ... (vs. left-handers) Keep honest w/FB up/in.”

Jorge Posada: “Sits on off-speed when pitcher is ahead. ... Good cripple hitter.”

Melky Cabrera: “Need to ladder the FB w/2-strikes. Chases up A LOT! ... Hacker throughout count.”

———

FB-fastball; CH-changeup; SL-slider; BB’s-balls; ladder-high fastballs, out of strike zone; cripple-pitches when hitter is way ahead in the count; H&R-hit-and-run.

Have you SEEN Scott Schoeneweis? Mets fans on scout.com want him gone, one way or the other. As bad as Ohman sounds maybe Peterson can fix him.

BTW I'm headed up to NY this weekend for the Saturday game. Mcblack, we need to hit Manhattan (ESPN Zone?) and watch the Mets destroy the Yanks. Any avatar bets this weekend? Sounds quiet so far...

Yeah, he used to be on the White Sox

in celebration of today's win, I would like to point and laugh at the Braves.

*Points and laughs at the braves*

My condolences to Tim Hudson, who deserved the W for his performance.

That's outrageous. If it wasn't for fantasy baseball, I would not care about anyone from the National League. Thusly, I could care less about watching a nationally televised National league game or their playoff games in the fall. Doesn't baseball get that?
COULDN'T CARE LESS.

THINK ABOUT WHAT YOU'RE SAYING.

If you "could care less," that means you're caring a certain amount such that you can care less (in other words, you care).

If you "couldn't care less," it means that even if you wanted to, you could not care less than you currently do (in other words, you don't care at all, because you can't care less than not caring).

Here's a good article on Adam Dunn and where he might land this summer:

http://baseballprospectus.com/article.php?articleid=6356

Personally, I would hate to see him with the Indians. We've had our share of Richie Sexon's and Russell Branyan's in the past. No need for that anymore.

That was a pretty good article on Dunn. LOL at the miguel cairo comment. It's good to see someone approach lineup construction statistically and not with comments like, "YOU HAVE A GOOD OFFENSE EVERYWHERE ELSE YOU CAN AFFORD AN OFFENSIVE BLACK HOLE."

. . . oh dear.

I fully expect Clemens to start headhunting on Wright after he takes him deep. AL park means Clemens can't be targeted, and we all know he likes it that way.

The question right now isn’t if the Red Sox are going to choke, but how soon do the Yankees catch them. The Yankees have become the Shaquille O’Neal of MLB. As in, they don't really pay attention to the first third of the season, looking to only turn it around in the playoffs. Except Shaq, of course, has won a title in recent memory.
Jason Giambi is going to be suspended. Yeah, Bud Selig will suspend the white guy, while the black guy gets to chase down the home run record. Baseball’s history of racism again rears its ugly head.

I hate how the media has done nothing but focus on the yankees for the last month.

I can understand focusing on them when they're riding the longest active winning streak in the league, b ut they were giving just as much attention to the yankees when they were losing. :lol

And no one seems to care about the 3-way race shaping up in the AL Central (as usual).

woohoo, get 2-3 on base then 3 outs - rinse and repeat....

edit: and where is glavine/justice when you need them.

WTF is up with MLB.com? It says I need Flash ver. 8 or better. I just installed what they told me to do and it still doesn't work. I've never had this problem before........

Had to pick today to visit Philly. CW is showing Smackdown! now, but when I'm in NY tomorrow I'll get it.

Jesus why steal with Reyes at bat and Vizcaino on the mound? Even if he grounds out you can't double them up. Gomez is killing me with his lack of knowing situations.

geez i bet that hurt

yay 2 on no out, now watch us ground into a dp and strike out.

wooohoooo! escobar 2 run double! braves lead 5-4, dont blow it wickman! :D
