Yeah, was at the Pirates/Braves game tonight, and insanely enough predicted a 2 HR night from Thor (figured he was due). Get to see Braves/Nationals next week to. Gotta say, moving out of Atlanta has not done much to hamper my ability to see the team in person.

Nice to see the 1st place lead stretch out a little more :)

WTF is Little doing? He brings in Beimel and does his job closing out the 8th then leaves him in when there is no reason. Use Seanez, It was a 6 run lead, I'm sure Seanez could have closed the game out.

Game over! Penny had another sexy performance! Time to close it out for tomorrow! Dodgers need to take advantage of teams like the Reds.

He was pretty shaky to start the game, I was afraid he was going to try and stick to his approach he had in Florida. Luckily he went back to pitching instead of trying to just throw past hitters like he did against the Marlins.

Yeah good to see Penny bounce back from a somewhat shaky first inning and it look like Penny is our Ace so far with the Best ERA in the entire league! I can't wait until Schmidt comes back too!

Awesome win for the White Sox tonight. Uribe being the best hitter on the team this season is pretty ridiculous, though.

Holy shit there is still baseball on.

....and there is NO ONE at the stadium. I mean seriously, like 15 people are still there. Nats/Marlins with 3 hours of rain delays...how is ANYONE there?

Could there have been a better result for Jorge Julio coming in other than a walkoff granny? It's like the epitome of his effectiveness.

The sequence was awesome:

Pitch 1: almost hits Zimmerman in the face
Pitch 2: Zimmerman hits walk-off grand slam

I'll admit, hitting the batter to bring in the winning run would have been almost as hilarious. Especially on the first pitch.

Maybe Mets should reacquire him and then re-trade him for another effective starting pitcher like they did last time.

Thome's rehab assignment starts on Monday. He should be back in time to crush the Cubs and bring on more awesome Lou face.

His wife was in the booth for an inning today. She was ****ing hot, holy shit.

...and unsuccessfully trying to find a picture of her somehow led to a picture of Johnny Damon's wife. She is even better looking:

Quick question, GAF.

Someone in my fantasy league is looking for a reliever and I wouldn't mind a good position player. If I can get Sizemore for K-Rod, would you recommend it?

(Details: I also have Street and Todd Jones for relief. Sizemore would replace Mags and be with Andruw and Adam Dunn in the outfield.)

I dunno, I'd need to see your whole roster and see if that's a good idea or not. Also, is this a head to head league or roto? I generally like to keep 3 guys who are gonna get me saves, but that's just me.

Sweet, Mets game is on CW down here. I can finally watch a game on TV!!

• Mike Pelfrey took the loss for the Mets on Saturday. Pelfrey is now 0-5 this season, while his teammates are 22-8.

How often do you see a combination like that? Not very often. The Mets rookie is only the third pitcher in big-league history to go winless in at least five decisions over the first 35 games of a season in which his team has played .600 ball. In 1977, Pittsburgh's Jerry Reuss started 0-5 while his teammates were 24-6; and in 1999, Houston's Chris Holt started 0-5 while other Astros pitchers were going 23-7.

Because of that:

New York Mets - Optioned pitcher Mike Pelfrey to New Orleans of the Pacific Coast League (AAA); recalled outfielder Carlos Gomez from New Orleans.

SWEET!!!!

I swear to god, the next media personality that says "brew crew" is going to get dog shit sent straight to their front door.

Another triple for the man more exciting than a truckload of Skittles!

I just got home to tune into the game and holy shit Carlos Gomez is playing in the game?

When did this happen?
I never thought we'd see him this soon.

The acquisition of Perez will go down as one of the great steals in recent times. Remember...he was a toss-in with Darren Oliver.

How much of a mess was the Pirates' coaching staff for letting Perez completely fall apart?
