Oh christ I just watched the hit and the following stoppage in play.

Why isn't there a :cry emote when you need it.

TASTE THE HAPPY, MATRIX. TASTE IT

Edit: Jesus, he brought Baggy onto the field.

*eyes start up again*

I've been very fortunate. I was also able to attend Mike Scott's no-hitter to clinch the division in 1986. That game and the one last night are easily the two biggest games in Astros' history. I've still got my ticket to that game.

My only "classic" games was the 18 inning NLDS game 4.
My second "classic" would have been Game 5 of the NLCS if that asshole Pujols hadn't spoiled everything.

Congrats to both Thomas and Biggio. Both are well deserving of the records they've accomplished.

As for the Mets, these four games this weekend have turned out to be very important ones.

Uhg my parents were at the astros game last night.
I swear my dad gets to go to all the historical games.
He was at NLDS game 4... i went to game 3.
He was at Biggio's 3000th hit
He was the longest regular season game played in houston which is the second longest game in baseball history.

Holy shit... he was at the 22 inning game? THAT is a fan. I don't know if even I could stand that.

My dad was at this game:

On May 9, 1984, the Chicago White Sox and the Milwaukee Brewers played a game that lasted 25 innings, a total time of 8 hours and 6 minutes.

The Sox eventually won the game 7-6.

Carlton Fisk caught this entire game.

They stopped serving beer so long ago that one of his friends actually snuck out of the park, picked up a bottle at a liquor store, then snuck back in in like the 15th inning :lol
They had to call the game at like 1am or something because of some league rule though, so they didn't even get to see the end of it the next day.

so the Phillies play their games like they play their season?

do nothing the first half, get into a huge hole, surge in the late going and fall just short?

Sounds about right to me...

They've only lost one game going into the 9th with a lead all year, right?

Yeah. He had blown two saves against Texas back to back, but one of the games the Brewers end up winning so he didn't take the loss.

****ing Bourn!

EDIT -

I'd like to subscribe to your newsletter.

I think Joe Torre's actually trying to get fired. Mussina only had 84 pitches, no sense pulling him in the 8th.

Hooray for Strikeout Sammy showing up with bases loaded, 2 outs and a 1 point lead for the Sox!

No because the White Sox can't score any runs against the god damn Royals

edit: oh my god **** rob mackowiak **** him **** him **** him

I'd rather not make this game interesting, thank you.

Wagner makes things so difficult...

That's more like it.

Not a bad day at all.
It all adds up to one thing though:

Billy Wagner can be used as a medium of exchange, like cash, currency, lucre, wampum, bread, cabbage, dough, gelt, green, jack, lettuce, long green, mazuma, moola, and scratch.

A rousing cheer!!!

Pierre stealing bases with Chris Young(opponent 100% steal ratio against this guy :lol ) on the mound.

Edit: 3 stolen base already Pierre(with 2) and Martin(with 1)

Wait... Juan Pierre was on base?

Another walk off homer for the Stros. :)

They walk Lee on 4 pitches (semi-intentional walk) and then Loretta hits a two run walk-off homer into the Crawford boxes. Only his second homerun of the season.
