This is what I want to see more often, When the starter struggles the offense needs to pick up the slack. Nice to see Betemit do something with his spot starts, Would be nice if he could get out of his season long slump for more than 1 day at a time. Houlton was the savior tonight getting 3 scoreless innings out of the bullpen. Hopefully Stretch can keep the Doyers in the game tomorrow.



Damn Doyers! The guy randomly selected to throw out the 1st pitch for todays game had thrown out the 1st pitch on Sundays game! BOOOOOOOO! WHY NOT ME!!!

And wtf sportscenter, you always put ****ing walk off home runs in the top plays, you cant give a top play to a guy getting his first walk off homerun in his rookie year?
 
Hmmmmn... Barroid just 4HR's away from Hank Aaron's record and only 5 games before the All-Star Break. With a 3 game series against the Dodgers in San Fran right after the All-Star Break. :lol I knew it would come against the Dodgers, It's just the way things have to be. I think I will be disappointed if he doesn't hit against the Dodgers. I'm thinking Bombko will be the sacrificial lamb sent out to give the monumental HR. :lol :lol :lol

DICE KING. He is really rounding into form. Great strikeout numbers, and a great hit rate. If he can continue to cut down on the walks he is going to be killer.
 
Dodgers starter Randy Wolf leave after three innings with a sore shoulder, initially diagnosed by Dr. Neal ElAttrache as bursitis.

Wolf said he will have an MRI exam on Thursday and probably a cortisone injection at the top of his shoulder, meaning he's likely headed for the disabled list and a replacement starter definitely is needed for Sunday.

Dodgers starters dropping like flies this year. Guess the Dodgers are done unless they trade some of kids for a decent starter which I would hate if it happened.

i was looking at cain's game log yesterday and before today he had 16 starts....the giants only won 2 of those starts :lol

Boston fans.. are you so sure about Dice-k's recent turnaround? It seems to me that it has coincided with interleague play and poor opponents. Devil Rays,Mariners,Padres,Giants are the opponents in his last four good starts. Those aren't the greatest hitting teams.

Yankees got swept too. Rockies have SOLID hitting with Holliday, Atkins and Hawpe. Even Matsui is good. But down 3 in the 5th is nothing.

geez there have been so many "almost" hits this series for the braves, tons of balls hit right at people and 3 or four flyouts at the wall.

Don't worry because this is part of Hendrickson's game as a starter. He will get through some innings with balls being crushed directly at the defense but sooner or later they start falling.
