Terrible loss. For some reason we can't put the Phillies away late in a game. We either do something stupid in the field, or just strand men on base.

The idiot behind home plate didn't help either, but the game was lost at two areas:

a) Luis Castillo striking out with 1st and 3rd (Why Reyes didn't steal 2nd to force a throw maybe stunned me). Willie hates two things, rotation plays and suicide squeezes. He fails to squeeze with the best bunter on the team.

b) Mike DiFelice dropping the popup in foul ground to Nunez. Heilman then on the sacrifice promptly throws the ball away on the bunt. He wasn't getting Werth anyway.

I love winning games when Charlie becomes a fuckup. Shows the true grit of this squad.

Wrong zone pal. It was the mysterious inside, high, and outside zone that was being called against the Mets. See LoDuca, Conine, Reyes, Milledge ABs throughout the game. You obviously didn't see the same game I saw, that or you chose not to.
 
Well its partly out of the fact that the Red Sox hold the record for having the highest pay roll and not making the playoffs, if the Yanks don't make it this year they'll have the record by like 50+ million or so.

Also Johnny Damon the back stabbing bastard makes me want to puke whenever i see him so if the Tigers get the Wild Card then i wont have to see his ugly mug for an extra couple of months.

Well he called the low strike all game against us(and you guys). Theres a reason Green was up there hacking at lower pitches(which i explained above) If the ump doesnt give Moyer the outside, hes fucked 99% of the time.
 
Green's zone is low, so he'll always swing at the low pitch and Myers threw a nasty curve. Oh yeah, Pedro pitching tomorrow and Phillies hit Wright and Milledge? You know what has to happen:
