I bet the mets would win the division, and if they didn't, I'd have to use a mets avatar until the end of the playoffs.

But a Met fan has to make it. Someone step up to the plate!
I can help!

I don't post in the MLB threads, but I am a Mets fan, so there. At the very least, it's how I feel about the whole thing!

have fun losing in the first round.
No Qwerty, this isn't the way. We should not sink to their level like this. As fan we need to show them we have class and act as such.

So to all Philadelphia fans I wish you an exciting time in the playoffs and I sincerely hope it isn't only for a short time. Since I live near the area I don't want to hear Phillie suicides on SportsRadio down here if a first-round elimination occurs.

how can you say that? After that they went 10-2 and increased their lead again. They didn't lose it then! If you want a "stop the bleeding moment" they had about 4 this month, three are listed:

Phillies series in September
Nationals series at home last week.
Today.

They did because that partictular game put doubt in the Mets, and when they got beat in September, the doubt turned to C-H-O-K-E. It didnt matter if they went 10-2. You put that doubt...choke happens :D

It's a shame we don't have mob rule, I can't think of anyone who would speak in qwerty's defense if we were about to throw him on the fire.

Man I can't help these good feelings I have :lol

I could care less if the Yanks lose the first round. Whatever.

This has made my day by so much.

Dude, he's on roll. He's right about SNY. Went to watch the post game show and they're talking Bills/Jets, two pathetically bad football teams.

I know, I tried to get mets post game too.

but just how he yells is so amazing

WTF? Even when the Knicks lost in 1995 MSG still had a postgame show with 200 angles of Ewing's finger roll missing. That a horrible job by SNY, they HAD to show something. ugh.

EDIT: Russo yelling makes dogs howl. My ears hurt listening to him. I feel for Bob Huesler; he's going to have to endure hell when he gets back from hernia surgery.

Things the Mets have to do:

- One of either Duque or Glavine has to go.
Personally, I think they should both be let go, but Frank doesn't agree. Definitely one's gotta get out of here, though. And let Heilman start, goddammit. Why let SUPER DAVE WILLIAMS and a ton of other losers start ahead of him?

- Alou and Green have to be deleted. No stiffs in the outfield. Fuck that shit. Milledge is RF.

- Fuck their middle relief. Mota, Schoenweis, Feliciano, Sosa, and the rest; kill 'em all. Start with Wagner, Sanchez and Joe Smith; build from there. And no more Aaron Seles and crap. Jesus.

- Do NOT fire Randolph. He really isn't your problem. Minaya - go get a starter and a big reliever to plug in.

- Pelfrey, Humber, and Burgos need to get their shit straight and polished so they can contribute. The Mets desperately need one of Pelfrey or Humber to really contribute. Maine and Perez stepped up this year; who's next?

Mets fans, don't get too down. There is a lot of great stuff to build on. Wright, Beltran, Reyes, Milledge, Maine, Perez...that's a good core.

Also, LOL @ WFAN. Yankees fans aren't allowed to call in to Mike and the Mad Dog right now. :lol

glavine is gutless, what an interview
Not a great interview from him but gutless? No. He did spit the bit but he did have some bloops and grounders that weren't fielded. What point from him was gutless? The "disappointed not devastated" part?

EDIT: "Every room in this player" :lol

"time heals all wounds"

lolol
Worked for the Red Sox. Well that and a WS title.

That.

Glavine almost sounds...disaffected by things. This was really, really awful, man. You shouldn't sound disaffected. I mean, you don't have to weep or anything, but "getting over it" happens weeks or months from now...certainly not today.

If I can get some pitching for Milledge, I'll do it without hesitation. The kid thinks of himself first and the team second. His interview yesterday was "I, I, I, I." Gomez and Fernando Martinez will be our future outfield.

I'll try to cook up something better, Kev.

It's not that I don't like it (it's nicely framed), but I thought Mets fans would not want something so depressing. :lol
