Neither Nash nor Dirk has played like an MVP in the playoffs so far (still early of course). Dirk is looking like his team might be the first one seed to lose in the first round with the seven game format. And all of that without any major injuries to his team. No excuse for that.jobber said:
Nash's team has been led by a bench player. MVPs don't ****ing defer to someone coming off the bench. If Barbaso didn't save the Suns in game one they could be down 2-1 at this point.
Thus the obvious choice for MVP and the best player in basketball is clearly Kobe.

Just got back from the Heat game, brutal. We had them in the 2nd and 3rd, our defense finally started clicking, the Bulls actually started to miss shots, that was the Heat team I know. But in the fourth they became dead, we could not keep up. Plus Wade is hardly the same Wade we know, yeah he shows flashes (no pun intended) of his true self but it comes and goes. We are too old to beat the Bulls, its that simple.
Another thing that killed us, free throws. I have never seen a more crappy free throw shooting team in my life. Did Shaq teach everyone on this team how to shoot FTs. Hit your damn free throws and the whole game is different.
Where is half the team, we started Kapono and he takes like 2 shots, wth is that. Haslem, where are you. Williams why are you even playing. Jones, return to your coffin. Besides Wade and Shaq the only help we are getting is from Posey and Leeroy Jenkins (thats our nickname for Walker).
This team needed some fresh talent this year, last year it worked out to perfection, but it was a team built to win that year. We should have made a move in the middle of this season. Whatever, hey we have some insane shot right, remember the red sox... yeah I am not feeling it much either. Bulls are just playing better.

the problem is that Nellie can throw a lineup out there where Dirk can't guard ANYBODY on the warriors. He becomes a huge liablitly on defense when Stephen Jackson is blowing by him at will, and he's too soft to really make them pay for it on the offensive end.

Anyways, since I can't watch the game, how come the Mavs aren't killing the Warriors on the offensive glass? Damp is a shitty player but he seems to have an knack for getting offensive rebounds. He should be having a field day against this tiny GS line up.
The centers haven't been in the game for awhile. Mavs seemed to not really give a shit starting at about the 8 minute mark. Another crap game by the Mavs, too many wide open jumpers missed and too many stupid three pointers taken. All that matters now is game 4. Mavs have always seemed to play better with their backs to the wall under Avery.
The Warriors just wanted it more. Congrats Warrior fans. You guys deserve this.
Speaking about the game, the defense is pathetic. They can get to the paint at will. The Warriors are just too athletic. The mavs need to play a better zone and let the Warriors shoot jump shots.
I hope the mavs can figure out a way to bounce back on Sunday, but it's not looking likely.
I made posts couple weeks ago that the Mavs just weren't playing like they were before, but I didn't think they'd lose to the Warriors in the first round. I thought they'd lose to Yao and Tmac.
You guys can make fun of the mavs all you want. They deserve it. If Mavs lose on sunday, the series is over. If that happens, watch out Rockets/
