Alright, we went through this during the NCAA tourney. You can't have a dagger when the game is a 3-point game with 5 minutes to go.

that is ****ing ridiculous that you can't nail that shot. you can't ASK for a better look. just poor shooting by marshall. great call though

Forget that. Marshall isn't the superstar. Lebron blew past Prince and had a layup before the other two Pistons got there, and passed out of it.

Tough miss on that 3. Lucky for me, though.

I hope this series ends in 4. I really don't want this snoozefest to drag out longer than it has to.
I'm a pistons fan and I feel the same way :lol

He was wide open and the only reason he's in the NBA right now is cos he can shoot 3s...

They went for the win and that's what Marshall get's paid for. Lebron didn't have a great game and he did his job on the play and drew the defenders.

Nah **** that. Lebron is the superstar. The Franchise. Anything short of a quadruple team should mean he takes the last shot. No matter what. If kobe drove the lane and dished a pass out to Smush Parker for the game winning shot, he would get RIPPED. Who Cares if 3's are the only thing Smush is halfway decent at. Kobe takes the game winner everytime. Vince Carter atleast tries to take the game winner, when he isnt bouncing the ball off of his foot. Your Superstar has to take the gamewinner

haha, nah i'm over it already. Bati was calling us Warrior's fans out though, so I had to say something, even though he is right (sort of). The Warriors do play a frantic game, it's also 100 times more fun to watch for NBA fans then not.

Anyways, the league (Stern) is way too ****ing stubborn, but there is no way they can continue to not re-seed in the playoffs.
I wasn't calling you out. As I said, the Warriors are fun to watch, I was just making a point as to why I like one style of play over the other.

It's not like I turned off the TV when the Warriors played. I watched practically all of their games during these playoffs.

Anyway, Marshall had a perfect look. Tough luck for the Cavs.

Not to bitch about the refs but as much as I hate "D-Wade treatment", I felt Bron got screwed on a lot of calls tonight. It's like they are going out of their way not to call in his favor...

Wow, it really looked like the Pistons were just playing w/ them. It didn't look like they were trying their hardest against the Cavs. That's just my observation of the game.

Bring on the Finals.

The more I watch LeBron the more I dislike him. Not only has he been annointed by the media before he even took a shot in the NBA, he willingly accepts that annointment and fancies himself the next Jordan yet he has absolutely no interest in earning that status. After 4 years in the league he still doesn't have a consistent jumpshot, his FT shooting is average, he hardly even tries and, worse of all, he seems to shrink under pressure (the one trait all of america despises in it's sports heroes).

Or perhaps the worst part is that he doesn't care at all.

They went for the win on the road in a series there supposed to lose and that takes balls. Lebron trusts his supporting cast to help him win games, especial games like tonight were he didn't play very well. Kobe tries to win every game by himself and look were he's at bounced out of the playoffs. Lebron has taken his share of game winners, he won two games last year against Washington on last second shots last year. He also won a game on the same play as tonight last year against Washington. He can't take every shot or else teams are ust going to be sitting on him

Could LeBron possibly be more of a pussy?
How so? Because the coach drew up a play to try and win the game.

You're right. And always going for the game winner and ignoring your teammates has really done wonders for both Kobe and Vince these past few years, hasn't it? I can't wait to catch that Lakers game this week... oh, wait. Nevermind. At least Carter's still playing.... uhhh... hm.

The fact of the matter is that if Marshall made that play then everyone would be singing Lebrons praises for having the foresight and trust to dish the ball. I make it a general rule to never rip athletes for decisions made in situations where they're heroes if it works out. I rarely rip on football coaches for going for 2 to win a game and I won't rip on Lebron for dishing for the game winner.

You know if Marshall made that shot some of us would be making fun of Bron for passing it, but a lot of people would be talking about his "great defense recognition and the willingness to share the glory."

It was a good play and marshall blew it.

damn I got beaten by the guy above me, it was like the exact same post

Those plays are rarely drawn up in such a simple manner. It's usualy more like: X play to set you up here, take the shot if you got it, else pass to Y.

The reason the Cavs are still around is because they basically got a firts round bye, and played a nets team that didnt deserve to be in the playoffs in the first place. The Pistons SLEPT this whole game and stil beat the Cavs. LeBron has to take over the game. He cant be passing to Role Players. He had a good look at the rim on that last drive. And no doubt he can finish there. He has to take the shot. He isnt steve nash, he isnt a point guard, he doesnt have the help around him to pull that shit.

Why do people keep making excuses for him. If he was a rookie or a second year player then thats fine. He is a Vet at this point, and its not his first time around in the playoffs like you said.

He doesnt have that killer instinct at all. At least pull a D-Wade and drive and go for the rim enough to get you at the foul line in the second half if your shot isnt going down. Ill bash D-Wade day in and day out but he does have that look in him during the 4th quarter. you can see he will do what it takes to get the win, even if its all by himself

I'd rather have Marshall take his signature shot than LeBron with Pistons defense all around him. LeBron made the right move.

Poor officiating again giving the favored team the game.
