I think I know who you are talking about. I still love Griffey, but he is not a number 3 hitter. I'd rather have Bruce there. But, it's only been 4 games. He looks pretty solid so far at the plate, but Cincy fans have crowned him a little too prematurely.

He'll have a tough streak sometime soon, and we'll see if the lovefest for Jay Bruce continues then. Cincy fans have become so fed up with losing, they turn negative at the first chance. Hell, I can't even listen to Marty anymore. He is a f'n sourpuss.

I wouldn't worry about him ruining young arms this time around. If anything, he's been too cautious with his young pitchers. They usually get about 90 pitches.
