But really, Extremely good pitching on both sides throughout the series. Doyers offense is just brutal at the moment and the Chubbies got some clutch hitting when they needed it.

Sounds like Kent could be going to the D.L. which would put DeWitt at 2nd with LaRoche coming up to play 3rd. YAY!

J.J. nearly gave me a heart attack with those walks, but it worked out in the end. We've actually won two games in a row against the Red Sox! We're now a menacing 20-34... yay?
 
Yeah usually the Cubs are on the losing end of these types of games.

But maybe things will be different in 2008.....

Christ, the Sox should NEVER sit JD Drew when both Sean Casey and Kevin Cash are also batting. Crap, these past two nights have made me want to pull my hair out! Letting Timlin pitch in a tie game in the ninth. AGHHHHHHHHHHH!!

Fuck, I hate the Dodgers so much right now. Getting swept by another NL opponent that we should be sweeping. God, I want to see so many players on this team get kicked in the balls, you have no idea.

Great win by the Mets yeaterday, now they face a team that was swept and a pitchers whom the have a history of beating up. If Claudio Vargas can got 7 and give up 3 Mets can take this game.
 
For all you Braves fans with bitter tears over the way the season's been going, don't be, seriously. Enjoy the fact that the Mets are losing. Enjoy the fact that Chipper's hitting fucking .425. Enjoy the fact the Yuniel's about as dangerous of a leadoff man as you're going to find this side of Carlos Gomez, and that KJ is finally starting to turn things around. Enjoy the fact that pretty much all your rookie starting pitching has been really sharp so far, and that you no longer need to rely on the likes of Derrick Turnbow to close (at least once Smoltz comes back).

I'm no big Braves fan myself, but seriously- times are good.

I was spoiled by Braves' teams beating the shit out of everyone. So no, times are not good. But I am happy the Mets became the Mets again.
 
fyi, if you need help at 3b in a fantasy league, eric chavez is starting at dh today for the a's, in about 20 minutes. i imagine he's available in quite a few leagues considering he has been out all year.

he's a big risk coming back from surgeries to both shoulders and his back, but he did hit .367/.424/.667 on rehab in AAA...
