I heard a stat on the Indians broadcast, that pitchers pitching on 3 days rest are 6-21 with a 5.00+ ERA this year. This was because Ponson got LIT UP tonight against the Indians on 3 days rest.

Yeah but it wouldn't have been so bad if his defense didn't shit all over him tonight.

eh Jenks can't be perfect every night. Plus he wasn't even off, the Royals had two seeing eye singles, a sac bunt with 2 strikes, and then a lucky hit that was just got beat into the ground and bounced over Jenks' head.

Hell, the bullpen ERA is still at 2.86, I'll take that

GAFMLB-New York - Who wants to chill with Wellington and I this weekend?(if everything goes to plan) Probably hit up multiple bars and BS.

lol, Olivo just got pounded by an errant Dotel fastball.

edit: there's no pain like listening to the KC announce team. they seem extraordinarily fixated on BA's helmet slam and the Olivo bat slam. They make me long for Darrin Jackson's boring monotone voice.

THE CUBAN MISSILE saves the game with his defense.

Not that we're going to score or anything, but that was beautiful

jesus, that was a little close for comfort...

I think at this point, the best thing that could happen is the remainder of the game gets rained out.

That already happened once this year, fuck that. I've been watching this for almost 4 and a half hours, I want closure tonight, even if we lose.

e: lmaooooooooo Loaiza warming up

Judgment day for Omar tomorrow.

He has 3 1st round picks, our farm system is non-existent outside of Fernando "Mr. Glass" Martinez. MLB draft is a crapshoot, but if some top flight talent manages to fall (they always do) into his lap he has to snap him up, screw the slot. Pay whatever you have to, piss off the MLB, just get us some good prospects.

Yea, wtf is up with the Texas defense? Forget the pitching .. you guys will never be a +.500 team unless you tighten up that D.

YES, Theriot! D-Lee coming up. Throw a meatball, Hoffman.

Hoffman was just nasty today. Crazy how he can still own fools changing up an 85 mph fastball.

Soriano never did learn to not swing as the dropping stuff :P

Ah MLB draft time again. Every single year the player I want is usually taken a few picks prior to where the Blue Jays draft. This year I am hoping for one of: Wallace, Alonso, or Lawrie to fall to our pick but knowing our luck they will be all be gone by then.

Jeter is 102 hits away from catching the Bambino. A reporter told him he has a great shot to do it this season.

“All I want is a shot at McGowan tomorrow,” he said.

ohhh isn't he just dreamy.

After Bobby Jenks let a two-run lead slip away in the bottom of the ninth, the score remained knotted at 4 as rain began to pour down. Several White Sox baserunning blunders made it seem like the win wasn't meant to be, but Konerko's blast wiped away any doubts.

"He needed it so bad," said Guillen, who ran out of the dugout to see the ball sail over the left-field wall and then high-fived Konerko as he rounded third. "It's big for him, big for the ballclub. Even when I was coaching third base, I never checked a home run like that. I was so happy for him. Like I said, winning the game is awesome, but having Paul Konerko do it himself, I think, was more special."

Here you see that side of Ozzie where he isn't a dickhead, but that's no fun for reporters to talk about.

Last night was so fun. My friend and I were sitting in the front row of the Loge Box seats, so you can see us for like .5 seconds when Betemit's homerun is sailing upwards.

I boo'd Farnsworth when he came in.

Hmmm...almost looks home made. I think it probably is home made because Matsui is spelt out in katakana. It's a Japanese name, I don't think they'd use katakana. Maybe.
