Didn't he? I thought Posey himself didn't think much of the play.ConradCervantes said:Sabean needs to chill. There was no malice involved, Cousins thought Posey had the ball and did what any other baserunner would have done. Posey needs to man up, quit being a little sniffling bitch and accept Cousins' apology.
Same group of Giants fans that got one of their own kicked in the head? Oh the ironed knees. I was coming in here to see what people thought of it. Seems Giants up mad cuz their boy got rolled. Seems like a stretch.rc213 said:Damn death threats being sent to Cousins. Stay classy Giants fans.
The Los Angeles Dodgers and New York Mets are widely known to be in financial hot water.
But seven other major league teams, including the Philadelphia Phillies, Chicago Cubs and Texas Rangers, are out of compliance with MLB rules regarding debt, the Los Angeles Times has reported, citing three anonymous sources familiar with a confidential briefing presented at last month's owners meetings.
...
Other teams named in the owners' briefing were the Baltimore Orioles, Detroit Tigers, Florida Marlins and Washington Nationals.

.Bill Shaikin of the Los Angeles Times is reporting that nine MLB teams are currently in violation of debt service rules:
1) Dodgers
2) Mets
3) Orioles
4) Cubs
5) Tigers
6) Marlins
7) Phillies
8) Rangers
9) Nationals
The regulations came into being in 2002's Collective Bargaining Agreement and are intended to limit a teams debt to ten times its yearly earnings and ensure that each team can pay its bills.
MLB executive VP of labor relations Rob Manfred says he isn't "concerned about the overall economic condition of the industry" and a National League executive called the high number of teams out of compliance a "hiccup" for an otherwise healthy league.
Along with the competitive balance tax and revenue sharing, the debt service rule figures to be a major financial issue in the negotiations for a new Collective Bargaining Agreement between the players and the owners.
The braves should automatically win the NL East since they are the only team that can manage its own finances.AnEternalEnigma said:Bill Shaikin of the Los Angeles Times is reporting that nine MLB teams are currently in violation of debt service rules:

Marlins and Nats are still paying off their new stadiums, I don't think that should count. Mest and Phillies, on the other hand...Windu said:The braves should automatically win the NL East since they are the only team that can manage its own finances.

Huh, for some reason I thought Citi Field was a lot older than it is. Then again, I didn't start actually following baseball till like three years ago.LJ11 said:Yeah, the Mets are definitely not paying for their new stadium....

Nope, other than vague memories of the Orioles on TV when I was a kid I didn't start following baseball until the '09 season. I didn't really follow any sports other than basketball until '08.LJ11 said:Seriously?
You're into Sabermetrics and shit, suspected you were a long time fan of the sport because of it.

Heres what he said on the subject the other night:
I dont even want to look at them with the bases empty, Jones said of his numbers. Its pretty much all Im basing the rest of my season on is being able to hit in the clutch. And it gives me some confidence. Its no secret Ive been struggling a little bit. Hopefully it starts to carry over because left-handed Ive really been fighting it.
Interesting to hear a likely Hall-of-Famer talk about confidence, isnt it? But its true. Everybody needs it.
