Should have been Kimbrel over Wilson. Disappointed Hanson didn't make it. Lol at Chipper. Must have been a shitty year for 3b.
Third base has the lowest Ops of any position in baseball save for pitchers.

Is anyone listening to David Cone? Holy fuck.

"I'm a sabremetrics guy. ERA is a thing of the past."

I love David Cone in the booth. Was pissed when the Yankees didn't pick up his contract this year, but I'm glad they rectified that.

I think David cone was on the fangraphs podcast a couple months ago talking about this stuff.

edit: or maybe it was the up and In podcast.

No Ichiro in the ASG. He certainly didn't deserve it ... but .... feels bad man.

Without Ichiro, who gives the locker room speech!

I'll find it funny if Pineda wins RoY but isn't an all-star this year.

All the top-tier third basemen sans A-Rod (Zimm, Longoria, Wright, etc.) have been either injured or sucking

Also: using fWAR for relievers is dumb because it's a counting stat. If you just want the top pitchers by fWAR you'll end up with all starters. If you must include relievers, use one of the fielding-independent stats (FIP, xFIP, SIERA, or a combination thereof) at least to some extent.

Bruce Bochy can diaf.

All three Giants’ starting pitchers were chosen by Bochy, FYI. The fourth, closer Brian Wilson, was voted in by the players. So were Braves starter Jair Jurrjens and reliever Jonny Venters. In sum, the National League manager chose not to select any member of the pitching staff with baseball’s best ERA — not Hanson, not closer Craig Kimbrel — but tabbed three of his own.

Yeah true, but I'm lazy.

Ugh, Greinke is so erratic this year.
His peripherals have been consistently brilliant. Either your defense sucks or he's horribly unlucky. Or both. I'm gonna go with both.

Defense isn't horrible when he pitches. Most of time he'll cruise then hit a wall in the middle innings. His control is too good, lots of victimized pitches are in the sweet spot of the strike zone.

Ph hinske for lugo please

Edit: nope :(

At least it wasn't a dp.

edit: oh hinske is ph for the pitcher.
