honestly though, i wouldn't mind having Francouer as a RH bench bat, we need a good one since Fredi doesn't want to use David Ross.

.303/.347/.495 against LHP.

But that article seems to think we would trade for him to start which is laughable.

edit: and considering this is coming from Dave Gershman who i think is a royals fan if i am correct, he just wants to get rid of Francoeur and wants some of that pitching the braves have.

Braves are second overall in team FIP, xFIP, and pitching fWAR. Also have the highest groundball rate. Feels good man.

Jonny Venters is 4th in reliever xFIP and Kimbrel is 7th. (Micheal Dunn is 3rd..)

Anyway, we have a good balance of relievers and starters. We are 2nd to the phillies in Starters xFIP in the NL and 3rd in NL relievers xFIP.

It is interesting to see the drastic difference between the phillies starters and relievers. Even though they are #1 in xFIP, their relievers are 14th in the NL. datrotation.jpg

How are they losing so many 1-run games with such good pitching?

Cards also lose a lot of close games (poor defense + shaky bullpen) and they play the Braves next so it'll be interesting to see if every game will be a blowout lol.

Bad Managerial moves, not hitting yet (although the past few days we have) and middle relief has been meh.

Shit ass management. Random variation. Small sample size.

Edit: hahaha @ both of us dissing Fredi first.

Scott Linebrink is the cause of many of those.

this is amazing:

Also, if you are going to punish McDowell you have to punish this lawyer. She is making obscene gestures and comments in front of the young girls as well lol.

but I wonder what started it? i wonder if it was the fans heckling?

edit: WOW.....WOW @ the end of the video, someone, anyone with skills please gif the last 15 seconds of the video....... I will never look at a bat the same way again.....

Is re-enacting what McDowell did with the bat really necessary?

I can understand McDowell's teeth comment causing problems. That wasn't very cool and he should be punished for that. But all anyone wants to talk about in this story is the anti-gay stuff. What's worse, he likely wasn't saying anything worse than the three hecklers in question.

This country's media has their priorities all wrong. Children crying and screaming as McDowell walks toward their father with a baseball bat threatening to bash his teeth out should be the real story here above calling hecklers "homos" and jerking off a baseball bat.

Shouldn't atheists hate the divinely anointed "royals?". Why is GAF gaga for them?
Eh, pop culture and whatnot. I don't give a rat's ass, but it's on about the same level as watching the NFL draft or a gaming company's conference.

Lowe arrested for a DUI. What the hell Atlanta?

Must be that Lowe life. His Porsche got impounded and bail was $2,944.

Edit: As someone asked at another place, why the hell are you driving drunk when you make millions of dollars a year? Why isn't someone else driving while you're drunk? What happened to calling a cab? I can see Eznark trying to sneak home in his pickup after a few beers, but not Derek Lowe.

Don't worry guys, it's all part of the plan. Braves are trying to raise their national profile by getting on TMZ non-stop. We got tickets to sell.

Next thing you know we will be throwing at the Brewers or something next week.
And Lowe is a racist:
Braves starting pitcher Derek Lowe was allegedly racing another driver down Peachtree Road in Buckhead when he was stopped and charged with driving under the influence, a Georgia State Patrol spokesman told the AJC late Friday morning.

"Troopers observed two vehicles racing on Peachtree Road and were able to get both vehicles stopped," State Patrol spokesman Gordy Wright said.

Wright had no information on the second driver, who he said was charged with reckless driving.

A nice inconspicuous street to race on, it does have a nice curve for drifting though.

Throwing at the Brewers, or at least Prince Fielder, should be encouraged. Especially after that plate diving crap he always pulls.

He's my 2nd least favorite player in baseball, behind Luke Scott.

Wow the M's swept the Tigers? Is this real life?

If you watched the 3 games, they actually looked like a major league team. It was amazing.

Then again, Tigers did have to face Felix and Pineda. Boston gets the shitties Vargas and Fister.

Shocking

and lol @ racing under the influence on fucking peachstreet.

The busiest street in Buckhead. I know it used to have a Waffle House on a side street near that big curve where the cops hung out.
At least McDowell will have company in the doghouse.
I hope the distraction doesn't keep the Braves from playing all out against the Cards tonight. Looking forward to our pitchers against their batters.
And Lowe will probably have a nice headache all day. Good.

Summer's finally starting to roll in here; today I'm to pick up a new glove and some fresh baseballs and spend the afternoon in the park breaking them in.
