My God, McCann sucks

The fact that he's considered the best hitting catcher in the NL (and probably second after Mauer) is more due to the sorry state of catchers' offense around the league.
He'll probably end up around .275, 18 homers...and yet, I'm disturbed that I can't think of another catcher that I'd rather have (except Mauer)

Oh and his pitch calling sucks too

SAY THAT TO MY FACE

Oh good lord, it's worth having him on the team just for the comedic value of that pic (and the other more disturbing one)

and there goes the game, blame it on mccann not hitting a sac fly, kimbrel suckiness (apparently its 4 games in a row with no K's) and Fredi's ineptitude and sticking with Gearrin too long.

Poo Pootera strikes again. I hate that mother fucker. At one point the Astros wanted to trade for him? And the Twins refused to talk a deal with it? Must not have been a shitty enough reliever that was offered in the trade.

Also Alex Burnett. And Alexi Casilla.

EDIT: Sacrifice fly to shallow left field. Alexi Casilla, ladies and gentlemen. My kingdom for Trevor Plouffe.

I take responsibility for the loss because I feel I shouldn’t have started Pelfrey tonight. I [in retrospect] should have let him skip a start to let him recuperate from the flu that bothered him earlier in the week.
Oh gee really? You think?

Who needs a '95 vibe when you can just call in the biblical plague in October.
That Yankees series was so awesome.

And then we blew the Red Sox series after being up 3-1. And we probably would have beaten the Rockies, since the Red Sox dominated them.

That's when I started to realize how shitty a manager Eric Wedge was. How the fuck do you let your team blow a 3-1 series lead? I'm sure Seattle already knows this, but Wedge is garbage. I'm sorry you got stuck with him.

I think the Rockies would have possibly beaten the Tribe. They weren't a slouch team, just didn't look prepared for that Sox team at all.

So much this. Fuck Wedge sucks.

Damn, the announcer for the LAA/TB game on Fox is the dude who used to do Rangers games. Did the Rangers lose him or something? Really liked Rangers broadcasts last year.

Yeah, agreed. Nice to see Niese doing well, at least. So much better than Pelfrey.
This will the the key inning IMHO. Bitchtorino/Polanco/Rollins. I'm very surprised Beltran is playing a day game after a night, I was going to vent that he'd have to sit vs. a guy like Halladay.

Jesus Christ of course THE MINUTE we start posting the Phillies start waking up on offense.

1st and 3rd 2 outs for Ben Francisco. also Carlos Beltran is WAY too deep in right field.

EDIT: nice play by Ike Davis!
