How the Hell did he buy a non-majority stake w/o getting any SNY stake? SNY makes SCADS of money. Every minority owner has wanted a piece of that, and this guy doesn't want any? Dude either must be filthy rich, a huge Mets fan, not interested in the day-to-day, a moron, or some of any of what I listed.
He's those two (and I think the not interested part is temporary, or at least when / if he gains full control he'll hire someone who is). Is a Brewers fan, was a Mets fan as a young child, though.

OMG Keith Hernandez is such a fucking troll. "eh Campana got caught leaning the wrong way... little over-exuberance, that'll knock him down to Earth..."

funnier thing? HE WAS SAFE. God the umps are terrible.

Einhorn's pretty brilliant, hard to question the guy but not getting a piece of SNY seems like a bad move on the surface. Maybe it's the path to least resistance. One thing's for sure he'll be more than interested in the day to day operations, no question.

It's good that the new part owner was a Mets fan - but I think they need a full owner who is a real, legit Mets fan too.

Wilpon is just like Dolan - the team will NEVER be what it can be as long as he is the owner.

...just bring back the Brooklyn Dodgers, please?

...just shut the fuck up about the Brooklyn Dodgers, please?

When did the Mohawk hairstyle come back into fashion?

First I saw it in the NFL with Portis, then it was the NBA, and now I'm seeing it in the MLB too.

Ugly.

Fuck you. Just because you know nothing of the Mets beginnings you keep bringing up the Brooklyn Dodgers. Root for your own team in the Bronx.

I bring up the Dodgers because I was born and raised in Brooklyn.
I bring up the Dodgers because I studied their entire history and wrote papers on it or related topics (Jackie Robinson) throughout HS and college.

I know the Mets history, too.
I don't see what their little NL/color connection to them has to do with there being a MLB team in Brooklyn again, though.
I didn't say "contract the Mets". I said "bring the Dodgers back to Brooklyn".

And yeah, the Mets need to not be owned by Wilpon. You know it, I know it, we all know it. If they're going to be good - consistently good - they need to have a non-Dolan tier owner.

Is that you, Fred Wilpon?

Oh great, who got hurt? What happened?

Dickie was pitching quite well against the Cubs, but over stretched his hamstring on a play running to first and had to leave the game. Beato is pitching poorly in relief.

Wonderful. Glad I'm not watching. Thanks for the update!

Damn, I really thought the Royals were going to jumpstart The Process by a year or two, but I'm quickly getting the sinking feeling we've seen .500 the last time in 2011. Still, we'll bring up Mike "Second Hosmer" Moustakas soon as well as the promising LHP Mike Montgomery and get them seasoned in the rest of the year, maybe have a little more excitement here and there, and get that much closer to our bright future.

Its a joke post from a Dodger fan...Everytime I hear him I LOL

What's wrong with Charlie Steiner? He seems like a reasonable enough announcer compared to a lot of them.

I mean for the Rangers he'd be a huge upgrade, but the dude is a Dodgers fan so there's no way he ever leaves unless Vin Scully suddenly finds a fountain of youth.
