Gotcha. So yeah, Lidge had something like 75 saves in that year he didn't blow any.jakncoke said:Was just curious as Hanrahan has started out with 25 without blowing one and curious how far away he is.

Oh neat. League throws a splitter and strikes Matsui out. Should probably throw that more Brandon.
I was actually going to go today. Thank Christ I didn't. Better for me to be drunk and enraged at home than in a public facility.eznark said:Been gone for a few days......

His fastball is down about 2 mphSharp said:Is it just me, or is Jimenez's velocity dramatically down this year?
That's pretty big. I guess for someone throwing as fast as he was, a decline like that's to be expected, but it's unfortunate because every mph drop in FB velocity is correlated with a 0.1 rise in ERA.CajoleJuice said:His fastball is down about 2 mph
The rest of the team is deliberately getting out so they can let Jeter break it up. Such class.Celsior said:Yankees getting no hit through six.
Blame Jeter?

FUCK.According to Jon Morosi of FOX Sports, the Mets have signed RHP Miguel Batista to a minor league contract.
Batista was released by the Cardinals in June, as he went 3-2 with a 4.60 ERA in 26 appearances and one start, walking 19 batters and allowing 27 hits in 29 1/3 innings this season.
The 40 year old Batista has played for the Diamondbacks, Nationals, Mariners, Blue Jays, Royals, Pirates, Cardinals, Cubs and Marlins over his 17 year career. Hes 99-112 with a 4.51 ERA, and has served as both a starter and a reliever in his career.
According to multiple reports, Jose Reyes is on the field at Dodger Stadium playing catch and taking groundballs.
Update, 6:45 pm:
According to Steve Popper of the Bergan Record, Johan Santana threw 25 warm-up pitches, rested, and then begin throwing again, while David Wright was standing in the batters box.
In addition, general manager Sandy Alderson stated that Santanas next bullpen session may be Thursday.
Yeah, and it had to be to the fucking cardinals. By the way, what is the deal with Dusty batting Rolen in the 4 hole? The guy is having a terrible year offensively. Also, where is Heisey's playing time?vas_a_morir said:Tough Loss. Cueto pitched beautifully... just a bad break.
This is like something you would say about David Eckstein trying to justify why he was on your team to a neutral observer.Judderman said:Jeter can still play.
