DMczaf said:WTF, you had me thinking Darko blew up tonight with Yao type numbers
8 pts, 4 rebounds
jobber said:That IS Yao numbers!
Tamanon said:Well looks like Phoenix is really developing that defense for the playoffs. Kobe is going off. Sad.

how in the hell do the Spurs outplay the Mavs and still lose and @ home....back to back losses!??????????????????????????????
ugh.
Dirk stepped up tonight. He's a MVP.
BatiGOOOOOOL said:Tony has been hurt and Tim has the flu. With them healthy the Mavs lose as always.
And they will in the playoffs. Fact.
woodchuck said:Ummm..did you watch the game? The Mavs outplayed the Spurs after that 11 point lead the Spurs had. The only reason you guys were in the game was because you kept getting dumb offensive rebounds and making a 3s. Despite a stretch in the 4th where both teams couldn't score, I thought we were great offensively. Josh Howard was amazing in the first half.

DonasaurusRex said:yeah its gonna be tough for them to deal with Darko in the playof...oh wait, i dont think the pistons gave a shit about that game, and rip wasnt there death in the familysucks.
Incognito said:Dallas, as you know, was missing three of their top players due to injury. With them healthy, Dallas wins in a landslide, shoot 60%+, and hold Tim "My foot hurts WAHHH" Duncan to even less production than last night's embarrassing spectacle.
The Spurs are done. The leauge has caught onto Manu's circus show and Tony showed everyone last night that teams don't have to worry about doubling Tim in the lowblock -- cuz he sure as fuck isn't going to make a jumpshot when it's needed.

You're comparing the crap Mavs players that are injured to a hurt Tim Duncan and Tony Parker and a missing Robert Horry? You get dumber by the day. Go suck on Allen's dick.
Anyway, sadly, when everyone thought Tim was getting better there are reports of people at the games that he can be seen limping visibly when going to the bench during timeouts and stuff. People can say he is a big softie, but this season he has truly shown what a pro he really is. Dumbasses like ParkPace will try to bring him down but if he was in Tim's position, he would be at home crying on his momma's shoulder because of the pain.
And now Manu got hurt yesterday and his status is unknown for Sunday's game. Fuck injuries. Injuries to important players that is. Not garbage role players.
Still, I 'm not afraid in the least of the Mavs. Unless they have HC advantage and two out of the three best Spurs players are hurt, they have no chance, like always.

Duncan has what amounts to a ingrown toenail. You want injury and sacrifice? Our god, Gary Payton, trudged through the 95 playoffs with a BROKEN LEFT FOOT. This year, with Duncan, it's always something new to keep the fanatical Spurs base at bay: "Flu," "Stomach virus," "Too many good players surrounding him," "Base of foot is uneven with ankle," or "He's won three championships already."
We're seeing the development of a David Robinsonesqueinhislaststagesofhiscareer type progress, here.
Spurs will lose to the Mavericks in the playoffs. I'm calling it now. Is Parker going to suddenly remember how to square up and shoot properly? Is Manu going to be bailed out by the refs again? Is Tim going to find a cure for the toenail?
No, no, and NO!
NBA fans, rejoice. An exciting finals matchup, not involving the Spurs, awaits us!

h1nch said:thats the stupidest thing ive ever heard. nobody is making excuses for duncan. the injury is limiting him. this much is fact. his numbers to start the season were trademark duncan numbers. as soon as he started having foot problems his numbers dropped. i think the fact that even when limited he still commands a double team speaks volumes about the kind of player he is.
i don't really know if the spurs are gonna win it all this year. to be quite honest i dont really care. the spurs are one of the 2 most successful nba franchises of the last decade, so I can't really complain if they dont win back to back titles.
that being said, you better home the mavs do win the playoff matchup, because if not im gonna find this post and rub it right in your face :lol
