Thanks for looking that up.

That poll strikes me as very puzzling... Isn't Obama supposed to appeal to independents more than Hillary? Aren't aren't independents supposed to be the people who might sway from Democratic to Republican, or vice-versa, depending on who gets the nomination? These facts seem to contradict the outcome of this poll.

I don't think it was an open primary. I recall a minor outcry over how many voters found out they were registered as independent/decline-to-state and therefore couldn't vote.

Saw this coming actually. Infact Lefty called it too :lol

Loss after loss, people will get worried, and don't want to throw away money that could be used for bills/food.

NYT TUESDAY: CLINTON INSIDERS, DONORS FEAR ELECTION 'SLIPPING AWAY'
Mon Feb 11 2008 19:00:49 ET

Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton and her advisers are increasingly concerned that she could be on a "precipitous losing streak" in nomination contests this month that could "endanger her competitiveness in the upcoming votes in Ohio and Texas" on March 4, the NEW YORK TIMES is planning to report on Tuesday, newsroom sources tell the DRUDGE REPORT.

Reporter Patrick Healy was polishing up a story which details how Clinton's losses last weekend in Washington, Nebraska, Louisiana and Maine have thrown her campaign "into a state of anxiety not seen since her drubbing in the Iowa caucuses on Jan. 3, with major donors and supporters saying for the first time that they are deeply worried that the Democratic nomination may be slipping from her grasp."

Developing...

BTW, McCain has stated he will not be using Federal matching funds. I wonder if we might see a national election that the taxpayers don't finance.

And I thought Politico.com was streaming it, but I don't see anything on their site.

Oho, TEXAS TOO!

GO OBAMA. I'll be voting for you here in PA, buddy.

I've gone from being borderline supportive of Hillary, to indifferent, to non supportive, to just plain pissed in about a WEEK. I'm sorry, she is running a shitty campaign. She didn't even try. During debates, she just stood among the other candidates like she knew better than anyone else and acted like she didn't have to put herself out there. This has nothing to do with her being a woman. In fact, I think the number of people out there who won't vote for her just because she is a woman is disturbing. If you have legitimate reasons, fine. I do, too. But because she has a vagina? Grow up.

BTW, the Clinton supporter on Hardball, the college kid was hilarious as just a bullet-point spewer. He mentioned 35 years *AND* day one.:lol

Forge coalitions with who? Not with the republican side of the aisle. They hate her guts. She'd never get a bipartisan bill passed in Congress that she would be pushing for. Did you forget what they did to her husband?
I thought Republican senators had a grudging respect for her ability to work across the aisle. Remember, she's not really that liberal.

did mccain not have an agreement with obama on fundraising?

It's getting hard not to get swept into the hype of the fall of Clinton in blogs and the media right now, I feel as though she is losing the nomination with each passing day.

I don't mind Obama winning either tho, I support both but I've wanted her to get it for a while...

I don't see this interview stuff anywhere on ABC.

I just see Wheel of Fortune

McCain is going to obviously opt of that agreement.

Which benefits Obama greatly, as he presumably wouldn't be tied to that agreement now that Mr. Keating Five himself is going to start gorging on special interest PAC money.

It is only airing on one ABC affiliate, though they say they will provide footage to others. There was talk that it would be broadcast online as well, but that doesn't seem to be the case.

Bah... dumb!

Thanks for the info though.

I'm ready to do my part next week in Wisconsin.

I need a temporary bouncing obama head. Can someone transpose Obama over Rex for me?

Is Pennsylvania an open primary? I have to be a registered republican for my job (don't ask) and if I needed to would switch back to a democrat right before the primary so I could vote for Obama.

It is closed, I believe.

this is more common than you think. PA outside of the major cities is EXTREMELY republican heavy. my mother needed to do the same thing since politics played into her old job. If you weren't registered republican, you'd have problems.

Isn't that illegal?

I would have expected that descrimination based on political affiliation would be...frowned upon.

unethical? certainly. illegal? probably not. republicans appoint only loyal republicans to political posts all the time, and democrats do the same.

They can't tell who you ACTUALLY voted for, but one's political affiliation is a matter of public record.

edit: this isn't a matter of "discrimination" but more an issue of political appointments by the party in power. for instance- I'm pretty sure everyone bush nominates for his cabinet, court justices, etc etc are all staunch republicans...

My old roomie campaigned pretty hardcore for santorum when he landed in office, and ended up with a post as legislative laison in harrisburg due to all the work he put in. This kind of thing happens ALL the time. it's politics.

“In Michigan, all of us had a chance to leave our names on the ballot – I chose to do so,” she continued. “My opponents ran a very vigorous campaign to get people to vote ‘uncontested.’ There was a campaign going on – it was a campaign against me, and I still won a majority.

How anyone can support Hillary with all the conniving she does is beyond me.

really? you should follow politics more. Remember the politician who was all about drinking colloidal silver and it TURNED HIM BLUE :lol :lol

Think Latinos

she can't be THAT shameless. Are you suggesting if she was trying to court the black vote, she would say nothing makes her feel better than a greasy bucket of fried chicken and some watermelon?
