Im gonna lose £60 if we win this game.

If Robert Green isn't in the next England squad...

EDIT: :lol I shouldn't laugh, this result is going agaisnt my betting, but there's something so funyn about Arsenal missing time after time.

Bayern won 2:1 against Hannover. Goals by Demichelis and Schweinsteiger!

It was not a good game but it's enough. What a pity that Schalke and Stuttgart won as well -.-.

Sigh, I knew we'd lose. Teams just have a habit of ending poor streaks against us.

Great result for West Ham, they have a combination of Green and poor Arsenal finishing to thank (plus what looked like a possible offside goal), but they're still 2 points off safety, with difficult games. Given themselves a chance though.

Villa win!! WOOOOOOOOOO! We were 1-0 down, equalised then missed a penalty and I thought it was all over but that WONDER BOY Agbonlahor scored!!! I hear Martin O'Neill did a funny war dance when we score too :lol :lol Oh and all the Villa players at the end of the match ran over to the 3000 travelling fans and chucked their shirts into the crowd and just cheered with them for several minutes after the final whistle blew. I love this club! :D

Oh and from what I caught on the radio the Arsenal v West Ham match was really tense! Well done hammers.

It wasn't tense at all, it was appalling..... West ham had like 3 shots all game... Arsenal had around 30...... Wow. >.>

I meant tense in the fact that Arsenal could have scored at any time but didn't. I think if you were a hammers fan at the time you would've been on the edge of your seat! :lol

Heinze on the left, Brown and Ferdinand in the middle and O'Shea on right. Just like I said after the Roma game, Ferguson will never play Heinze in the middle.

Also, both Richardson and Fletcher are playing. It's hard to have a good feeling for this match.

Blackburn went 1 up against Man Utd last week, yet that game turned out 4-1 to Man U. They'll still win.

Not with Richardson on the field. He's virtually useless on the left and has contributed nothing to our attack the entire match. All he's done so far is f**k up and cost us a goal, which is all he's ever done for us in his entire career. At least Fletcher has been doing relatively decent this match.

Oh, and Wes Brown and O'Shea in defense are just scary to watch. You never know when one is going to screw up and cost us another goal. They almost did exactly that near the end of that first half.

EDIT: And the number of fouls on Ronaldo the entire match is just ridiculous. They're bringing him down all the damn time he's on the ball and the ref has only dished out one yellow card so far. Unbelievable.

I can understand Ferguson's desire to rest Giggs in anticipation of Roma but goddamnit, I don't think I'm in the minority of United fans when I say the EPL is more important to me this season than the CL.

Also, if we had Park, resting Giggs would definitely be an option. But not when we have only Richardson to turn to. And it pisses me off to think that Richardson's going to get an EPL medal if we lift the trophy this season. WTF. Sell him already.

GIGGS IS COMING IN!!!!!!!!

Boy are we in trouble once he retires.....

they could have in theory... played either Saha or Smith or Solskjaer up front and let Rooney play on the left...I know its not ideal but anything is better than letting Richardson in the lineup.

I've actually been worrying about that the past two seasons.

Also, it's unbelievable how dramatically our attack was transformed the minute Giggs came in for Richardson.

Who the **** is this ref and why does he hate us?

To be fair I didn't think it was a penalty though I do think that the Giggs' through ball to Rooney at the beginning of the second half wasn't an offside either.

The fielding of Fletcher and Richardson is what killed the match for us. Richardson f**ks up and cost us the goal. And then because Richardson and Fletcher were so ineffective in attack, Rooney and Ronaldo especially, ended up running so much in the first half that they couldn't find the stamina to run as much in the second half when we really needed them to.

Woohoo!

Sorry United fans, it's nothing personal, but it's been a long time since I've seen a close title race (and I adore close title races) so I had my fingers crossed that portsmouth could hold on.

Van der Sar is normally a wonderful goalkeeper, but I'm afraid I have to point the finger at him for both goals. First one was just like Roma, either push it over the bar or to the side, NOT back in front of the goal, and I don't know what the hell he was doing rushing out when Ferdinand clearly had things under control.

Chelsea still have some really tough games to come before the United fixture, but fingers crossed the league still might be wide open by then. God I can't wait.

The MLS season starts in a little more than an hour when Colorado takes on DC at 3:30 on ABC. Who's going to watch this besides me?

I'll be watching and hoping it's shown in HD ( not bloody likely)

I've never seen a match in HD, I wonder how much difference it makes. I expect I'll have one by next World Cup, prices should have dropped enough by then.

Seeing any sport in HD makes going back to SD a very hard thing to do.

whoa... really? i think we got almost every single World Cup game in HD over here.

damn, you guys are making me realize just how spoiled we really are.

and for some reason... i have a tough time getting into MLS. if only Oklahoma could get a MLS team, this state would go crazy for soccer. [we have some proud tradition with the Tulsa Roughnecks in the NE part of the state], I'll probably watch the Busch Nascar race instead, which is also in HD. i know the europeans here won't understand this... but this country is absolutely f'n bonkers for all things NASCAR. it's always been big... but ever since Dale Sr. passed away at Daytona, it's explosion has been damn near exponential every year since.

edit: yup... what he said below.

It's much easier if you have a local team to support and go to games. Otherwise, I understand why people would say they have a hard time getting into it.

DC was surprisingly bad in that first half. When they played against Chivas I thought they were beyond MLS level and now they are down 2-0 against Colorado. I don't mind though because the lower they are in the standings the better.
