damn messi, scores some goals against these kiddies. they suck!!!! why is US even allowed to play against a top tier team?

You may be good at soccer but that's about it. BURN!!!

Twellman's gotta make that run. Grrrr.

I think they are intimidated. They're a fairly young team I think and Argentina has quite a lineup. I couldn't imagine playing against Crespo, Messi, Mascherano, Heinze, etc. I would be like "WTF, how did I get here?!"

they can do it to serbia and montenegro, but not to us
Are those the rules? :P

We've had a tough time playing late when tired. More mental breakdowns than I'd like, obviously...

So far in the Copa - 22 goals in 6 games...

That was fun, though I missed almost the entire first half.

the **** did Crespo do to his hair?

To bed now, I'm so tired. Damn Copa America, why can't they hold it in Europe? I know I'm tired, because I spent most of the game half-watching, half-fantasizing that I'm Messi and how cool my life is.

With our lineup (based on the players we brought) against this Argentina, the only way we could compete was to have high pressure in the midfield, and the US delivered that for 65 minutes. But in the Summer in Venezuela just about anyone trying to play that style without much possession was going to run out of gas, like we did.

The Argentinian goals were mostly (3/4) on busted offside trap plays, and the US showed a lack of coordination at the back when they got tired. Bornstein and Conrad played pretty well, and Beckerman was solid as a sub. There were a couple weak spots like Wynne, Keller, Demerit, and Twellman. Ah well, there's always our next match against. Paraguay. Maybe they'll come in overconfident...

.

Venezuela doesnt have summer/winter because of the equator. Its rain/dry season

The Gold Cup is played in worse conditions.

I didnt like the US uniform.

And I didnt like how the US played. Too many long balls that bounced off the other team. They played like England, and if the world cup is an indication, that style leads to no wins.

US are awful to watch. just boring and overall sucky. cant run, cant receive, cant pass. bleargh. US women's soccer team should actually play for the male team, they'd do much better. those women, now they can play. male team should be disbanded.

Ok, so it was 90 with 90% humidity. It was very hot and humid, regardless of how you define the season.

How so? In general the pitches are better and the weather is cooler. Refs are worse, sure, but the general conditions are more conducive to good football in the US.

Neither do I.

The offense wasn't there, but considering it was the B or C team, it was understandable. We would have been a lot better off if we had someone that could hit a free kick as we had a couple good chances there.
