Ok, I've switched things round entirely, I'm happy with my team for now. Never know who's going to be signed of course, could change everything.

You're far from alone in making sure Ronaldo's in your team btw h0pper, a massive 58% of teams have him at the moment.

I'll probably decide right before the match.

I have one player in my team who I'm really on the fence about keeping. He's new to the Premiership this season, so a bit of an unknown quantity, and there's another play in his position who did very well last year and would cost quite a bit less and let me improve elsewhere. It's just this new player...if he can live up to his potential, he could rake the points in.

Does he possibly play for Liverpool? And does the other play for Arsenal?

Nope!

In fact, it get even more complicated because I don't think the new player will always play, but there's also a decent chance the player who got so many points last seaosn will swap positions this year due to signings.

Oh well, there's one free (from losing points) transfer a week, I can always change.

I'd prefer for you to either be in or out. Otherwise, if people are dropping on and off every week, it makes scoring things a pain in the ass.

Ok in that case im In. Is it gonna be kept track of by someone on here ? Or is it like the Fantasy league where we sign up to a site?
 
Apparently Gilberto, Toure or...Gallas...will be the next Arsenal captain. Most likely one of the centre backs, as Wenger says that's the best position on the pitch to have the captain.

Arsenal fans may not be happy with a Gallas captaincy after recent comments, but I genuinally think he's the best choice. Mainly because he yells at people. Toure's too nice, so's Gilberto. I saw Gallas get in a yelling contest with Lehmann last year, so nothing intimidates him.
 
The thing is, I don't think I want a captain who's saying stuff that could bring the morale of the team down. In the past 3 months he's said some things that made me want to choke him.

I'm sure on the pitch he'd make a good captain, but off the pitch is another story.

Off topic, I'm excited to see Torres play in England. Would've been nice if he went somewhere besides top 4 though.
 
You should start a separate thread for each week of this prediction league.

"Official GAF EPL Prediction League: Game Week 1" or something. Then have it closed once that week's winner has been determined. It'll leave this thread a lot less cluttered and it ensures you wouldn't miss anyone's scores.

Just my 2 cents.
 
Making the fantasy team is pretty tough. I need to get ronaldo in the team. I was thinking about getting drogba, but he costs too much and he doesnt get as many points as ronaldo, who costs just as much. Ive nearly got the team done, so I'll post it soon. I dont care who sees my team.

Whats the code for our league?
 
Ok Ive joined. I couldnt think of a team name and I was eating jaffa cakes at the time, so Ive decided to call the team jaffa cakes.

Also it's half-time in the Newcastle - Celtic game, Newcastle are winning 3-0. And just to underscore how poor Celtic are, as if that wasn't obvious from the score, Luque has scored twice.

Having said that, I saw Celtic destroyed by a United reserve side last summer, yet a few months later they were causing a better United side real problems in the CL.
 
I'm starting to think Drogba isn't as good as an "investment" as I thought. I should really do the math here lol.
 
Does anyone know how many points the winner got last year? I tried to look it up, but I couldn't find anything.

And you guys better pick good teams, there's a table for the private leagues too which we want to top, I assume they take an average of all the teams' points to compare leagues with different numbers in.

Just a few Liverpool fans left.

My lineup's a secret. I'll tell you I have James in goal though and Ronaldo in midfield, you should be able to work out the rest from that.

Yes The Final Countdownn is my team. Haven't picked my proper team, just let the autofill thing do its stuff. I'll give it a week to see who is going where near tranfer deadline.
 
The European leagues have rejected Platini's proposal to have 3 teams in the CL rather than 4, and to give a place to the cup winners.

I didn't mind the idea, but if I'd realised it was down to the leagues to say whether this was going ahead or not, I'd have known it was never gonna happen.
 
C'mon mama, give us some more hints about who's in your team. I wanna see if its really a lot better than everyone else's

It was a predictable outcome, but I would have liked to see 3 teams in the CL instead of 4. It have made things more interesting. As things stand, we all know who will be the EPL teams to get CL places. Spurs are close to breaking into the top 4, but I dont see it happening for a while.
