Deutscher Meister 2008: FC Bayern München :)

One of the sadest moments. Hitzfeld says good-bye. the best coach of all time

UEFA CUP secured.

No more Old Trafford or Emirates Stadium, it's all ufaduduodsubdvg Stadium in Rumania and fdsaiudsfgdbyfgsgdiomfcsoihefhifihfdni Arena in Belarus now baby:)

Some coaches are just idiots. I bet, when all the final squads come in, we can make a whole team that could win Euro 2008 of players left out. We already have our strikeforce of Trezeguet and Raul and our full backs of Clichy and Sagna (if he's fit...is he?).

I think Bayern would struggle to get into the top 4 in the Premiership with their current side, but they'd be favourites for 5th. Problem is they'd be like Spurs: great in attack but losing too many points in defence. A few key defensive buys this summer though and they can put in a decent CL challenge. Can't see semis though, unless they have a lucky draw.

That rumour saying Blackburn have cooled interest in Motherwell's captain Paul Quinn since his broken jaw is the first time I've even heard of any interest. I don't think we'd lose interest over a broken jaw suffered right at the beginning of the off season, but I suppose it'd make it difficult to do a full medical. He's a 22 year old right back (a position I want us to strengthen) who's already their captain, which tends to mean they're good and being given the captaincy to persuade them to stay. Never actually seen him play though.

I'm wondering if we'll get Duff. If Newcastle want to sell him this summer, can't really see a better side than us wanting him. He's lost his pace and I'd prefer we got N'Zogbia, but I'd prefer to Duff to Pedersen too. And he might fancy coming back to Blackburn.

Bayern broke the record for the beste defense this year. The record was over 20 years old.

yazan, is ancelotti staying for the next season?

i kinda feel bad for milan, btw; the won't be the same without them.

they didn't took the uefa cup serious. this is why no bayern player cared about the 4:0 in russia. we belong into the champions league.

"They didn't take the Uefa Cup seriously"? What kind of players do you think you have? They're good, but it's not like you have 11 Cristiano Ronaldo's running around.

That sounds a little bit like a rubbish excuse to cover embarrassment.

Just a little bit.

:lol :lol

Bud: It quite likely that he stays. CL wont be that fun next season, but I am not really sad. It will hopefully be fun to follow the team in Rumania, Moldavia, Wales, Norway and other C leagues.

you will hear the same excuse next year from milan.

and you know what? the uefa cup was always a joke for bayern. same years ago, franz beckenbauer called it the loser cup. but it was their mistake last year that we ended in this competition. this is why bayern changed their ideology. instead of saving money we invested in new players. don't forget that we're one of the richest team in the world (and we don't have any american or russian investor). They will continue this idea. so; you better not underestimate us next season. especially because all the players are hungry for the CL.

Even if scummy Inter took the scudetto for a third year, Roma came back from an 11 point deficit in Feb and got farther than any other Italian team in the CL. I'll take those odds.

Sucks for Milan to get stuck in the UEFA Cup, but hey, they got their trophy for this season really, really early.

we'll see :)

but i'm glad we're not playing against you next year :( we had so many terrible games against you (besides the 2:2 in san siro which was quite lucky for us of course).

Zenith will go further than Bayern in the CL next season (especially if they keep their top players).

Stadium of Parma is a crazy zone, people are taking grass, goal nets, pictures, sitting on and touching everything, taking picture of every step they do. SLEEPING on he pitch.

Did we ever look at the final fantasy football league results?

I enjoyed it a lot more than the yahoo one. There are only two things I really dislike: the bonuses, which are subjective to some faceless panel who make terrible choices every week, and the player values changing far too slowly. Drogba's still the most expensive striker to buy, despite being only the 33rd highest points striker and 9th on points/game.

Meanwhile, there's Santa Cruz, 3rd highest points striker and 6th on points/game, but 21st highest price striker. I should be paying more for Santa Cruz by the end of the season than Drogba, not 64% of his price.

Still, we all have the same problems there, it's not like yahoo where you have to pay close attention every week and sometimes they didn't even collect the points for Monday night games.

I came 7th in the end, not bad but I'll do better next year, on points at least. Learned a lot from mistakes this year, first time doing it. I don't actually know who won, a Man City fan, David Nolan, identify yourself. I wish people had just used their forum names.

Yahoo was pretty good this year, I can't remember a missed update and the unusual playing day scores were put up max 1 day later. Yeah you do have to pay more attention but it is more rewarding imo. I just spend half or three quarters of an hour on Saturday morning doing my team and it was quite fun. I came in ~1,700th overall which i'm pleased with since towards the final few months my attention dropped off quite a bit, I didn't touch my team for the last 3 weeks.

I'm never playing yahoo again while they have unlimited transfers. That's not a fantasy team, that's a fantasy team every week.

Well it's not from scratch every week and you can sort of build a legacy. Last year I picked Ronaldo at 11 and he ended up at 30 units. It's a case of knowing when to pick up a player and when to sell him and it is interesting in my opinion. You gotta judge when someone is about to hit form, what his opposition is and balance that versus price and team balance plus the usual constraints of player position/rotation etc. Those who pick up a player cheap and they then go on a good run are advantaged because anybody else wanting to pick him up has to pay a premium. Also, choosing the right cheapo players are going to do in a given week is key as well. You end up cheering for like Fitz Hall or something.

I'd rather that than pick a team and more or less hope for the best all season. Hoping you don't use up your subs too early etc. I feel there is less luck involved with the yahoo system but it's personal preference.

Osvaldos goal against Torino (the goal that makes us play UEFA C instead of CL), it's beautiful.

No, Kaka was last summer. This summer is all about C.Ronaldo :lol I bet that next summer Real will be after either Cesc or Ribery.

Unbelievable. The even weirder thing is that Milan probably going to become a French-Italian-Brazilian colony soon. French in Italy???!!!

I'm sorry if you're still bitter over this, but what are the chances that Milan end up with Sven and Ancelotti goes to coach the national team?
Bitter, me?

Also zero, zilch, nada.

I love your cat Lakitu:)

You did something to her/him during the half-time break in the CL final in 2005, didn't you?

I rubbed his furry little head and said "believe"! We've had a great partnership ever since.

My prediction is that he'll leave. Well, it all depends on how Italy do in te euro. They;re drawn in the toughest group and if they dont get to atleast the quarter final, then I think donadoni will go, anchelloti becomes italy manager and rijkaard becomes AC Milan manager.

I wonder where mourinho will go.
