What it is a thumbs up from me, best football gameplay ever but the lack of clubs hurts it. I hate not having Fabregas and Clichy at the same time.

Something I've never understood is what the hell is the difference between Fifa 08 and Euro 08, sure they'd probably update the game engine for Fifa 09 but doesn't Fifa having both club and International teams make the Euro game redundant, gimped even?

euro 2008's only reason to exist is to make money.

- the controller is an absolute piece of shit. Cheap plastic, lightweight and feels like a made in Taiwan 2 quid childrens toy. The analogue sticks have no resistance whatsoever, far too soft. and ergonomically it's making your hands cramp up by just looking at it, just like the trusty old dual shock. did I say shock? No rumble, Sony you cheap bastards.
I think the controller is fine. The controller being light is a good thing. It feels comfortable too. Its not as good as ther 360 controller, but its good. It feels like any of the other PS controllers minus the rumble, which isnt such a big deal for me.

Just consider us lucky that Sony didnt stick with this beast for their controller

ps3-boomerang.jpg

Then there is the usb cable. My fucking dick is longer, how am I supposed to play when the battery is empty? Boooooooooooooooooh!!
:lol

-system set up is easy and I like the UI.
Yeah UI is nice and you can customise it too. I've got a pretty cool GTA theme atm

I've also got a ronaldo one saved on the harddrive. You would love it.

-it's silent - big plus.
Mine was silent until I bought GTA. Now, my PS3 occasionallymakes loud fan noises when I play GTA. It basically sounds like hairdryer. Has anyone elses had a problem like that?

PS3 controller is fine save for: L2/R2 suck balls, the analog sticks suck balls, it weighs too little.

Could be worse though, it could have bumpers!

Is the Dualshock essential for MGS4? Damn Sony for still keeping the sixaxis in circulation.

By the way

First player I would buy in FM2009 (yes, I'm that addicted):
Man Utd - Ibrahimovic
Chelsea - Diego
Arsenal - Rafeal Marquez
Liverpool - Quaresma
Everton - van der Vaart
Aston Villa - Crouch
...
Man City - Cassano
Tottenham - Miguel Veloso

Will think about the other leagues (actually this is off the top of my head) when the Euro is over.

:D I'm finally a full member. What are the benefits? (I always though full members had more smilies...)

Now we just hate you in general terms, instead of just calling you a junior.

First player I would buy

aguero

Then there is the usb cable. My fucking dick is longer, how am I supposed to play when the battery is empty? Boooooooooooooooooh!!

:lol

My advice is get a spare controller so you can alternate when the battery needs charging infact I reccomend that to everyone on every console having a wireless controller, I just can't play wired anymore even if charging.

My stance on rumble has been from day one that I'm not bovered and I still don't, but I'm reeeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaally tempted to import a dualshock 3 in the run up to MGS4 and I don't know why.

I'm finally a full member. What are the benefits? (I always though full members had more smilies...)

You can now start retarded threads only to get demoted back to junior.

:lol :lol :lol

Only teams that have like a minimum of 2 European Cups are able to purchase Van der Vaart I reckon. Not including a possible brilliant tournament.

But then again, I always bought Ronaldo playing as Ajax when I played the 1996 version. Meant I had to sell everyone (even Van der Sar) but Ronaldo was like sure to hit 40 goals a season :D

Normally that's true, but this year UEFA 08 fixes a hell of a lot of fundemental gameplay problems that FIFA has, to the point where it's actually a quality game.

Im just hope they dont fuck it up again for FIFA 09.

Well FIFA have thrown a huge spanner in the machine for the Asian Football Federation. They've suspended current Asian Cup champions Iraq for a year.

World soccer's governing body will decide on Tuesday in Sydney whether to ban the Socceroos' group opponents Iraq from all competitions after the Iraqi government dismantled the nation's soccer association last week.

Was the build up only yesterday.. and they've decided tonight to go forward with it.

FIFA have announced the decision to suspend the Iraqi Football Association (IFA) following the first day of its executive committee meeting in Sydney.

The FIFA executive committee ruled that under art. 14, par. 1 of the FIFA Statutes it will recommend to Congress that the IFA be suspended for a period of one year.

The Iraqi government has until midnight of May 29 (AEST) to inform FIFA that it has rescinded its decree.

I should be happy as it gives Australia the effective lead for the so called "group of death" in the qualifiers, since it was us, Iraq, China and Qatar. But at the same time.. I feel sorry for the Iraq team and the poor sods who bought tickets to go see the Aus v Iraq match on Sunday night in my city.

That sucks for the Iraqi team. :(

In unrelated news, it has been fated that I will go to NYC this summer. Awesome-o!

:lol 50 million for Torres what a joke.

I am just testing this PS3 = PC feature of hooking a keyboard, I give it a thumbs up.

Well you did take out a loan to sign him which y'know needs to be paid back.

If a bid was made of 50 mill your board would take it.

:lol I heard that one and can't believe it. Scousers will probably pass out a collection plate this summer to repay the loan.

If Mourinho goes to inter will he still want Drogba? He'll have Ibrahimovic, Balotelli and Adriano (not to mention Suazo, Crespo and Cruz), all battering rams and more skillful tha Drogba.

Back onto EA's Euro '08 bandwagon.

I picked it up on the weekend and I've played a little bit of it. While I agree, most of the new gameplay elements will be in the next FIFA game, the whole presentation side of thing with this type of game really just blows my mind!

I dont know about you boys, but I get really involved whenever there's a major international tournament. In '02 I read literally absolutley everything I could about the teams, the players and the tournament, and I watched a fuck load of games.

For '04, I was a couple of weeks away from starting a new job, so I had a couple of weeks free to sit around and do fuck all except watch the football...I was all over it.

'06 was a little different because I had moved to Canada, but still, I was all over the tournament.

So with '08, even though England arent actually involved, I'm still super excited. The EA games have always done a pretty good job of making me feel part of the party.

I'll be honest, in that I didnt play much of WC '02, or Euro '04, but I felt that WC '06 was a decent enough game. Along with Oblivion and PGR3, it was my first next-gen gaming experience, and I really enjoyed it. Whenever I watch football, I'm usually on my laptop playing a game of FM at the same time, and whenever I watch a big tournament, I always want to play a game as soon as the action has finished.

Who remembers EA's World Cup 98? That game was fucking amazing. I remember I bought it AFTER the tournament had finished, but I still played it solidly for a good 12 months. Those classic games were awesome - remember the grey faded images, and the big, orange, leather ball?

Anyway - thats why I buy this type of game - because at it's heart, it's just another FIFA, with updated graphics and some decent new modes that will surely be in '09.

But it works so well with the real tournament, that it makes me feel a little more excited about it all. I fucking love football!

Also, the battle of the nations thing is quite well done.

Season 08-09 with Leeds.

Missed out on the playoff spots, and finished 10th in the first season.

Ankergren
De La Cruz - Huntington - Michalik - Sheehan
Sorsa - Douglas - Jonson - Johnson
Kandol - Beckford

Exciting, no?

Barça signed Seydou Keita :D He's very similar to Yaya, a great header, can play as defensive/offensive or even creative midfielder and has an amazing powerful shot.
Right-back D.Alves, from Sevilla too, has already stated that he will also play in Barcelona next season.

No, it was reported wrong in the papers as usually.

Our players where bought on a loan like United's

Big game on Wednesday for a couple of the US players looking for a move this Summer. Bocanegra is out of contract with Fulhamerica, and Bradley's going somewhere. Recent rumors said that Everton might be dropping out of the bidding because of the proposed transfer fee, whereas Borough are stepping up their interest. Blackburn and Sunderland are still in the mix.

Feilhaber is out with a torn meniscus for 4-6 weeks. He'll have a tough time finding a club this Summer, though Derby don't seem to want him any more, so the transfer fee might be low enough for someone to take a chance on him.

I just don't see how Keita can have much of an impact at Barca. Alves on the other hand, that's exciting stuff.

Btw, Orlando Engelaar is on his way to Schalke for 8 million Euro.

Because of the new monitor I was playing with photoshop, I am now going to post a picture of myself.

It's called, when photoshop goes wrong

Yup, that's me.
