Update on PSV:

IN:

174097_661_1202228762281-ReimondManco225.jpg

Reimond Manco, 17 year old Peruvian international attacking midfielder/ winger, considered the biggest talent Peru has ever produced. Signed on a more or less free transfer, though details are sketchy.

176816_661_1204577881465-Amrabat225.jpg

Nordin Amrabat, 21 year old Dutch winger/ striker, who scored 10 goals in the Eredivisie for VVV Venlo last season. Signed for 2,3 mil EURO.

185327_661_1212151708148-Rodriguez300508-225.jpg

Maza Rodriguez, 26 year old Mexican international central defender, with over 40 international caps. Signed for 3,5 mil EURO.

186352_661_1213627471183-BRECHET_1.jpg

Jeremy Brechet, 28 year old French former international leftback, central defender and defensive midfielder. Former player of among other clubs Olympique Lyon (with whom he won 2 national titles as captain) and Inter (where he hardly played because of injury). Signed as a free transfer.

OUT:
- Heurelho Gomes, goalkeeper, for at least 9 mil EUR (probably more) to Tottenham Hotspur
- Jefferson Farfan, striker, for 10 mil EUR to Schalke 04
- Rajkovic, defender, back to Chelsea (unclear what they want to do with him)
- Alcides, defender, back to Chelsea (same)

Rumors: PSV is close to signing Andreas Isaksson from Man City. Other candidates include Velthuizen and Ustari.
PSV might trade Ismail Aissati for Utrechts talented leftback Erik Pieters. Personally I think this is crazy, we have enough decent leftbacks now (Salcido and Brechet) and we should keep Aissati.

Personally I don't think we're doing too bad so far, but we can't afford to lose any more important players (Afellay, Salcido, Simons). Of course replacing Gomes will always result in getting a lesser goalkeeper, but I'd be happy with Isaksson. Farfan's place will go to either Manco or Amrabat. I'm especially excited about Manco, who at 17 years old is already a vital part of Allianza Lima, and playing for the Peruvian national team. Here's a nice goal he scored just a few days ago: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5BmCHQS3hlI.

I don't think we'll sign any more players (besides a keeper) unless important players leave. Vayrynen and Zonneveld will most likely leave.

I'll post PSV's entire preliminary squad tomorrow along with my expectations regarding lineups and such.

Izzie is good stuff. At the price I've seen rumored he's a nice value buy for PSV.

I'm not sure who you're referring to. Maza?

Welcome to PSV: your two year quarantine club until a bigger European club wants you.

:(

Gomes and Farfan both stayed for 4 years though.

Andreas Isaksson

Ah ofcourse.

I agree, he's a pretty decent goalkeeper. He'd be the best goalkeeper at any Dutch team, I'd rate him higher than Stekelenburg for example. Plus I don't think he will cost more than a few million EUR since Man City seems to want to sell him anyway.

I had no idea Farfan left PSV. In my opinion, I'd rather be in the Netherlands playing for PSV than in Germany with Schalke. I mean, you can blaze legally, that's kind of sweet.

easy there fella, we don't have to draw our weapons because of my chistes.

oh and you can watch an interview with Nash/Henry here:
http://soccernet.espn.go.com/euro2008/index?cc=5901

If I had known this was going on, I would have stormed the pitch and sexually assaulted Thierry Henry.

and the rhythm and beat of that song are all wrong. 2/10 would not listen to again. do not buy.

Sierra Oscar one zero three.. h0pper requesting backup for Arsenal defense force

I am already on bad terms with most people here.. I won't explain.

:lol

Explain yourself. Remember, you have the protection of the computer screen infront of you, the internet cannot hurt you.

to be fair Manyoo are known all over the world for their famous atmosphere at Old Trafford and the extreme wit of their chants. All invented by themselves. Supporters that live no further from the stadium than half a mile. A firm example of everything that is good and traditional in football and that the other clubs and their plastic fans so sorely lack.

Are you doubting the greatness of the Anderson chant? It's actually quite new, remember reading how one dude just started singing it in like March and it very very very quickly cought on.

Our home fans are mostly shit, when I was there against Birmingham the majority of the game was Birmingham fans singing their asses off with sporadic manyoo chants and the vocal minority in the stretford end, our away fans are fucking awesome though.

the atmosphere in the Emirates can be shit too, though it got a bit better last year. Spurs at home (last game before Christmas) was great for instance. But against the lower teams (= the ones I can usually get tickets for) it's usually disappointing. It's got a lot to do with the size of the stadium - you're just not gonna find 60,000 hardcore supporters that know all the chants for every game. Same for Man Utd. It's much easier to create an atmosphere when your stadium only holds 30,000.

The away support is great though.

I see. so now you're doing the shittalking without explaining yourself for the fear of offending people. how fucking convenient.

if by exciting you mean playing Grid while simultaneously arguing with Cedeo at 2 in the morning then yes :lol

oh, and thank fuck for adblock.

ah well, I can't help myself sometimes.

I do love to argue, or shall we say discuss things, and I do get annoyed if somebody starts an argument and then doesn't have the guts to actually talk about it. But there's no bad spirit in these things.

Never really got to grips with PES.. never heard anything but good things about it though.

I'm actually the opposite of most people. I started with FIFA and just last year switched to PES, which I like alot better. The goal scoring is just much more fun in PES imho.

Heh. I'm just giving you a hard time. :D

Finally got my interwebs hooked up again here at home, so I can stop stealing wireless from my neighbor and get my consoles set up again.
