You're a Metro/Red Bulls fan? Where have you been all this time?!

That's awesome. However, I'm a Bolton fan but I can't hate a fan of the Metro. Speak up though as any kind of MLS discussion in this thread is welcome by me, especially discussion of our long suffering but always filled with potential club.

I've nothing against Bolton and can't say anything bad for MetroStar Fan. :) I'll get into the MLS discussions... I remember when MetroStars were in the finals and lost against New England and then a couple of times against DC. X(, :(...

Hopefully we'll be better able to do in the upcoming years.

We're doing pretty well this year. We started off the best in the league and kinda cooled off, but we're coming back. We beat DC 1-0 at home then lost 0-2 unluckily to Chivas, and had a great game on Sunday beating Toronto 3-0. We're tied for second with DC in the East at 30 points. All I'm hoping for this year is to make the Conference Finals again and get a Superliga spot and I'm happy. If we manage to win the whole thing I'd be ecstatic but it's unlikely.

Well nobody's perfect.
Hey man anyone who cheers for a team as historically awful as the Metrostars deserves some props. Take your 2 MLS Cups, 2 US Open Cups, and 2 Supporters Shields somewhere else!

:lol I was referring more to the latter club there. The only MLS team I hate on is DC and the only one I'll make fun of is New England since they bent over twice for GaLOLaxy in the MLS Cup Final.

I know that but I never thought I'd have some Red Bulls camaraderie in this thread so I had to say something.:D Plus my dad is a Red Bulls/Man U fan so I can't hate the guy for it.

edit: You don't hate the Quakes or the Goats?

Something for the Arsenal fans who think that Lehmann's blunder was a freak accident:

He does that from time to time to keep himself entertained.

He's such an idiot. He like tries to be fancy and reverse it on forwards only to flub the ball into his own clumsy legs. I wouldn't be surprised if he tries to do some step overs or something even worse this season.

I hated the Quakes, yes. When they died a piece of me died. I look forward to hating on them once again, especially since all of their good fortune now resides in H-Town.

If I hated on Chivas I would just be helping the terrorists that tried to manufacture that rivalry win. Besides, I like Jalisco.

Sucks for Cornballer that he has to put up with a new team while the Houston boys got an MLS Cup winning team. I missed the NoCal SoCal match so I look forward to you guys battling it out.

You said your boys would outcheer us. It's okay I won't mention it again until October 3rd so I can remind you that we're gonna whoop ya the next day.:D

You guy seriously need to take a flamethrower to that field BTW.

We'd get thrown out by the NJSEA....

There's nothing more that pisses us fans off than the NFL season which means we have to play with those wretched gridiron lines. As of now Red Bull Park is like this club's messiah, and the Saturday I wake up and don't have to go to Giants Stadium for my MLS fix I just might cry.

I personally can't wait the first Houston - San Jose game in San Jose. Just to see the reactions of the fans.
I really have no idea how that'd work out. It's not as if we hate any of those guys, but then again.... It'll be weird, for sure.

I haven't been to any sporting gaming invent in my whole life... But I wonder how expensive are the tickets for Red Bulls for a home match? I would like to go, if I get a chance.

Oh come one, my father likes Chelsea and nearly every other person at school loves Chelsea, Arsenal or Liverpool. I'm like the only Man U supporter there. I've been a Man U fan ever since the Chelsea dominance the past few seasons ago. It was lovely when I got to rub it on my friends when Man U won the league last season. :)

Well this Saturday's game is an exception. It's $40 for the cheapest ticket and the only ones left are in the upper tier. However, the next home game after that is September 1st against Chicago. Do yourself a favor and park in lot 16-A. If you want a real football environment get yourself a ticket in section 101 with the Empire Supporters Club. I can show you the ropes for most of the songs, we'll tailgate, and for the game we'll be singing and standing for 90 minutes. Tickets to 101 as a member of the Empire Supporters Club is $18 otherwise they're $20. If you just want to sit down with the soccer moms and whatever they cost anywhere from $20 to $32.

Okay, this is why having 12 different windows open in Opera can sometimes cause problems. :lol

What I was going to say in THIS window is my reason for Arsenal's popularity in North America. And when you think about it, it's pretty fucking simple...they're one of the most attractive playing teams on the planet, and always on the attack. Plus Henry was the EPL's best player the last five years, and on his best day is damn near worth the price of admission on his own. Winning a few trophies and going unbeaten in the league didn't hurt either. So this has all contributed to Arsenal's popularity the last ten years, not just in North America but throughout the world. Allegedly they've got the third biggest membership in the world, which might not mean much since I think some Portugese team is second, but the Gunners have done really well to attract such a wide following despite never playing outside of Europe, unlike some of the other top European clubs.

Yeah that red card really hurt them. Sometimes they play like they're a man down and sometimes they don't. Hopefully they can capitalize on a counter or something like that because it looks like they're having trouble penetrating the defense.

Another reason for Arsenal's international popularity is that people who have read Fever Pitch like the club.

Worst. Penalty. Ever.

No, seriously. Have you ever seen a more poorly taken penalty? If some guy hits it hard and it goes over the bar - c'est la vie. But that was complete crap.

Maybe he didn't mean to hit it.

*whistle blows*

"WAIT NO RETAKE!"

*ball rolls on the floor thumping Calero on the chest*

The look on Calero was priceless! He has this WTF look on his face the whole time. :lol
