That's the lineup we put up against one of the top ranked teams in the world? Fuck.Cornballer said:Galarcep's guess at tomorrow's US lineup against Brazil:

Who else would you put in there? There aren't a lot of options available at the moment.Osorio said:That's the lineup we put up against one of the top ranked teams in the world? Fuck.
Cheating? What the hell are you talking about?Yazan said:Common ICELAND, we want to win the group. Great match between Sweden and Denmark, Ibra was a beast. We really should have fucked the cheating Danes.
Haha, what? We played better and had the best chances. Still, you're out of the race so it's all good.cybamerc said:Cheating? What the hell are you talking about?
I think 0-0 was a fair result. Sweden had the biggest chances but overall we (Denmark) played better. You should be thankful that you have Zlatan and Elmander because the rest of the team is quite ordinary (Wilhelmsson has lots of potential as well but he doesn't seem too comfortable playing in the midfield).

I dunno it just feels like our lineup could be better. For some reason I want Bornstein out there.Cornballer said:Who else would you put in there? There aren't a lot of options available at the moment.
UNITED STATES ROSTER vs. BRAZILl
Goalkeepers (2): Tim Howard (Everton FC), Chris Seitz (Real Salt Lake)
Defenders (7): Carlos Bocanegra (Fulham FC), Steve Cherundolo (Hannover 96), Jay DeMerit (Watford FC), Oguchi Onyewu (Standard de Liege), Heath Pearce (Hansa Rostock), Frank Simek (Sheffield Wednesday), Jonathan Spector (West Ham United)
Midfielders (6): DaMarcus Beasley (Glasgow Rangers), Michael Bradley (SC Heerenveen), Bobby Convey (Reading FC), Clint Dempsey (Fulham FC), Benny Feilhaber (Derby County), Kerry Zavagnin (Kansas City Wizards)
Forwards (4): Davy Arnaud (Kansas City Wizards), Landon Donovan (Los Angeles Galaxy), Eddie Johnson (Kansas City Wizards), Josh Wolff (1860 Munich)
I agree that you had better chances but only because Zlatan and Elmander were at the top of their game. Sweden played very primitive football consisting mainly of long balls.rooflapimp said:Haha, what? We played better and had the best chances.
Gravesen doesn't play for Denmark anymore. As for Poulsen he isn't any worse than, say, Elmander who sometimes makes some nasty tackles and is quite the diver as well.Yazan said:Well not cheating exactly but dirty (especially Gravensen and Poulsen), and I didn't mean this match but in general.
We were missing players as well so that isn't much of an excuse. Kennedy and Källström didn't make much of a difference anyway. It's the first time I've seen Kennedy play but Wilhelmsson seems like a much better player. Maybe Kennedy works better in the midfield but technically Wilhelmsson is much better. And the Swedish team wasn't that great. Some players were missing (Ljungberg for example) and other players should have started instead (Kennedy, Källström & Shaaban). But Denmark isn't really that much better.
As did Grønkjær with yours. Nilsson is still dizzy I think. You should be thankful that you have (insert anyone who was good).
And Ibra had fun dancing with your defence.
just saw some brief highlights on SSN, nice run and goal. The sending off looked very harsh, didn't look intentional at all. Not like I'm complaining of courselachesis said:Again, Iniesta just extended Aragones' life line..... They should've have won this game... it's getting too hot there now.
You actually expected an Arsenal fan to live in Angleslande? :lolCornballer said:No kidding. I thought you were in Enger-land for some reason. My roommate and I are having a few beers up here in the Bay Area.
This is like slow pitch softball for you - I'll just lob 'em in over the plate and you can hit 'em out! :lolKarakand said:You actually expected an Arsenal fan to live in Angleslande? :lol

Ives said:Hey folks, here are some observations from Saturday's Brazil practice:
Brazil worked on free kicks and Ronaldinho's placement was as deadly as you would expect.
Ronaldinho was asked about playing in MLS and he handled it diplomatically, saying his focus was Barcelona but that it's intriguing for all players to consider playing in the United States.
Kaka really has a movie star vibe about him. If I'm starting a team from scratch I think he gets the nod at this point.
Kaka mentioned DaMarcus Beasley as one of the players he knows and called Beasley a friend.
Some reporters in attendance insisted on pointing out the fact that the United States practiced together all week while Brazil showed up today and had one light training session. How much practice does Brazil really need? Is Dunga going to spend a practice session game-planning for Clint Dempsey? Brazil basically roles the balls out and plays. Dunga doesn't exactly have to do too much pre-game coaching.
Starting Alves makes some sense since he's faster than Julio Baptiste, who really is a beast. Baptiste's physical strength will serve Brazil better against Mexico on Wednesday than the Americans.
When I first heard that fans were being charged $20 just to watch Brazil train I thought the idea was pretty ridiculous. After watching Brazil train I think you can argue that those fans got more entertainment for those $20 bucks than fans at some professional games around the world.
That's all for now folks. I'm off to the Globe for some beers. Check back in on Sunday for extensive game-day coverage of USA-Brazil.

I feel if you are lucky enough to get a ticket for your team, be it England or your real team, I think you have a duty to support them the right way. In the end of the day the moaning will not help the team, it's as simple as that - it has the opposite effect.
