the Guardian podcast were suggesting that he's between 24 and 27, not 18. Do you think he might have faked his age?
That rumor has been floating around for years. There's no evidence that it's the case, but it's not outside the realm of possibility. I sincerely doubt it, but stranger things have happened.

wow I just saw some video of Gareth Bale up close, he looks young as shit. I didn't realize he was so young looking.

I'd rather not, thank you.

Bolton wanted Graham Souness and allegedly offered him the job last week but he turned it down.

Now they want Gary Megson (Leicester).

Shame, I'd have liked to see Souness back. For some reason I like him.

As for Jens, everybody can make mistakes and every goalkeeper will at some point make them. What is crucial is how you deal with it and how you behave yourself. Unfortunately Jens fares far worse than with his mistakes there I'm afraid.

He's only fucking 17 isn't he?

Nope, no tagger's here. Find an american football player named torres and mention him even once in their football thread, you'll get tagged three times to yesterday.

I think I'll watch Arsenal tonight. The United match is the harder to call, but I haven't really watched them yet in the CL this year. And I like watching the Premiership teams at home against the smaller footballing nations, I think it's a combination of the better stadiums and pitches and coverage. It's a different story against Barcelona and things, but we won't get those gmaes until the last 16.

it's quite clear that you are only making up this little story in order to hide the fact that you are slowly becoming a gooner.

Manchester United defender Wes Brown is attracting the attention of Sunderland, Newcastle and Manchester City.

Brown, who has made 11 appearances for United this season is into the last year of his contract and is currently locked in talks with United regarding a new deal.

Brown is hoping for an offer in the region of £50,000 per week, and if United do not meet the players wage demands then they risk losing him for nothing in the summer.

The WHAT?!
I'm all for getting another substitute defender, but no god damn 50 000 is leaving the club for such a player.

Someone did psycho's tag a few months ago, but in general you're correct.

Playoff preview from the NY Times.
Juan Pablo Angel said:
“I don’t really know how the playoffs work,” he said after the team completed its day of preparation at Montclair State in Little Falls, N.J., for the opener of the first-round M.L.S. series against the visiting New England Revolution on Saturday. “I guess this is the real start to the season. It’s kind of a shame, though, because I believe a team should get more credit for what it does during the season. It’s a strange situation to go through 30 games and then through this.”

Inter are losing 1-0 and CSKA Moscow at half time

That doesn't seem to surprise me. I really don't understand Inter. Do you think they train...ever? Or do they just wing it?

Their lineup is capable of going far in CL but they seem to eat shit every time.

:lol

Walcott starting up front alongside Adebayor according to ITV.

I am excited. Can't wait to see what he can do as a striker.

UEFA matchtracker sez:

Arsenal

* 24 Almunia
* 3 Sagna
* 4 Fabregas
* 5 Touré
* 10 Gallas
* 13 Hleb
* 16 Flamini
* 22 Clichy
* 25 Adebayor
* 27 Eboué
* 32 Walcott

Bench
* 1 Lehmann
* 2 Diaby
* 7 Rosický
* 8 L. Diarra
* 9 Eduardo
* 19 Gilberto
* 26 Bendtner

lol, 2 stupid mistakes from russians, and inter is already ahead 2:1. Painful for em.

But not nearly as painful as it will be for ManU today. Not even close.

ManUnited delenda est.

Oh man I was going to watch barca rangers on ESPN in HD but I'll gladly stream Arsenal instead if Theo "speeding bullet" Walcott is starting

in vino veritas

1-0 to ManU.

Ferdinand (Man. United) scores!
Ryan Giggs plays over a precision free-kick from the right and Rio Ferdinand rises to powerfully head the ball high into the net for what is his second goal in three days after also getting on the scoresheet against Aston Villa FC in the Premier League on Saturday.

Pretty sure it'll go to Hleb, with the strict own goal rules. I'd prefer them to use some common sense, but anything on target, no matter if it was obviously gonna be saved, goes to the offensive player.

It's weird to me that it's Adebayor making the runs Walcott should be. He's been offside every time, but that's what Walcott should be doing.

Alright, it was an own goal according to the UEFA officials. Doesn't really matter, though if they're going to make hard and fast rules, it'd be nice if they stuck to them.

Not as bad as that Crespo goal during the last World Cup which clearly, clearly was an own goal.

Walcott did make a run like that there. He's still getting his sea legs at this point.

Hopefully he gets a goal today.
