Needs more metal and prog. Needs less modern punk.

Finally some Joe Satriani, though some better song could have definitely been picked.

As stated in the other thread; some awesome songs, some underwhelming ones as well. Nothing worse than mediocre, though.

I'm more interested in future DLC.

I would agree, but I don't think you can have enough metal and prog. At least they have Tool, Dream Theater, and Lacuna Coil, which is an improvement over previous lists.

Band on the Run :D I really hope they release more Eagles songs as DLC, I love the Eagles. Anyone else find it strange that theres no Green Day songs in any Guitar/Band games this generation? They have such a huge catalogue of music, especially songs that would chart well, and they are popular enough to sell copies.. I wonder if they are not letting their music be in the games..

Filter's "Hey Man, Nice Shot"? Man, I haven't thought about that song in ages. Brings back memories of middle school. I might actually have to pick this up.

Tokio Hotel, im not up with the latest rock music, but are they supposed to be good?

Let's say it this way: Tokio Hotel is the reason why many people wish the GDR (and that means the inner German border) would return.

Haha yeah. That was the first song I sang when I joined a band in high school.

This game is the reason why I do not have a new 360 arcade unit, I am buying the bundle for the superior drums and now superior set list.

Pretty good list but I prefer GH3's list of super metal! When playing games with stupid plastic instruments I prefer to play the most over the top music I can find!

Does this include the bonus songs, or is this just the main set list?

This is the entire setlist not including future DLC releases such as the Metallica - Death Magnetic Album (which is compatible with GHWT if you get it first for GH3)

Yeah I noticed some of these yesterday when I was checking over the track list... what gives?

You'd think they would be exclusives... it's like wearing the same clothes as someone else to a party.

Fucking loving that Van Halen are involved with both Beat It and Hot for Teacher.
There is also a very heavy rumor over at the Van Halen forums that a live DVD is coming late this year/early spring from them,to be sold exclusively at Walmart. I'll take whatever I can get from them.

Just to be clear though-I have the guitar from GH2. That will work with the new one, right? I don't wanna have to buy a new one just to play the new game.

The set list isn't bad, but not much really stands out to me. Still excited for the game, but I'm mostly looking forward to playing drums along to Death Magnetic :p

I feel blessed that my launch Rock Band 1 drumset is still holding up. I'm going to see what people think of using the GHWT drums with both games (GHWT and RB2) and decide which drumset I upgrade to from there.

There are a lot of songs there I want to play. Still undecided about this or Rock Band 2.

Why not both? Instruments are cross compatible this time around, no reason to pick one over the other if you like rhythm games. Pick the package that has the hardware you want, and grab the other game standalone.

well spoken, sir. i don't like them as well but as a german i'm really surprised about their worldwide success. I respect them for that. But the music does suck big time.

Not a bad list, but unless they can make note tracks that don't resemble and feel frets on fire, then I'm sticking with the professionals and RB
