As predicted.

I had said it before, and heck it didn't beat the Wii by a hair. It was the only one without supply problems.

PS3 beat the DS?!? Were there shortages?

Everything that wasn't a sony system had shortages in January. I know bigger chains have had some stock, but our store didn't get systems until last week (and before that was sometime in 2007).

PS3 was legitimately big in January though. We sold almost all our 80 GBs that month (and the rest during this month).

Actually, I take that back: we had shortages of the PSP too, kinda. But it was mainly that no one wanted leftover star wars bundles and sony wasn't shipping cores or daxters.

So it's clear that while Nintendo/Microsoft sold insane amounts of product last month while leaving Sony in the dust, Sony had plenty of leftover stock that managed to find its way into consumer hands, while MS/Nin struggled to find any more stock to put on shelves, thus accounting for Sony's apparent post-holiday success

WTF! I didn't expect that. The numbers are strange for every console/handheld.

And yes, there have to be shortages for DS, Wii and 360, otherwise I can't explain these numbers.

This .gif is for:

1) The furious posts that will soon be made.

2) The frustration from 500 errors.

3) My feelings about posting in an NPD thread on Valentine's Day.

Only one Ps3 title in the top 10.

I guess there were no shortages software wise....

Still can't wait for the official thread. Ps3 fans are going to have a field day, heck, this place will be hell until silence prevails once again in February NPD.

The Wii, DS and 360 all had shortages.

Am I kidding? Well, no I live in Canada and there are plenty of DS's and 360's. Wasn't really sure about the states.
