ok, back to imovie. the image stabilzation is nice. and thank god they brought back in precision editing.

looks like it could be used as a real tool again for folks who don't want to plunk down 200 bucks for final cut express

You always had iMovie HD. iMovie 09 looks like a combination of the best features from iMovie HD and iMovie 08.

for people that don't need FCE, imovie 08 is a great interface that needed a little work. Hopefully imovie 09 gives it what it needs - precision editor is a good start.

Precision editor is a nice addition, but I want cheesy effects.

EDIT: Yeah! Cheesy effects confirmed. Still like iMovie HD interface a lot better though.
