Yes, it's one of the best (if not -the- best) titles available for the PSP.
how is the aiming? I never realized how horrible the analog nub was until I got killzone liberation. Makes aiming very frustrating/annoying. I can't wait for the new PSP-P to come out. Defintily will be upgrading

Absolutely.

Need me to elaborate? Sorry, no time. :(

come on man. How are you going to drop a "absolutely" bomb with out elaborating.

But the Snake Eater's alert / caution music are the best of the series, the changes are smooth and everything; wasn't he responsible for this?

That would be Hibino. It's a damn shame if he's not working on MGS4.

That's fine. The game is not adding much to the storyline anyway...

If by "not adding much to the storyline" you mean
revealing the missing link between the events of MGS3 and MG1, the origin of two important characters of the series, whatever happened to EVA, Granin's Metal Gear design, why Big Boss became a "villain", hints to MGS4's plot, something about the Patriots, etc.
, yeah, it sure doesn't :-| *sigh*

The single player campaign is as deep as what you could expect from any of the other MGS canonical games. It plays differently simply because it's a game designed around a portable system, but it's still a totally worthy MGS title. I'm afraid many people underestimate it because it's a portable game.

THE ORIGIN OF ROY CAMPBELL!!11!1!
Yeah I've watched that part on YouTube, but I would gladly play the game if only there was a possibility of playing it on my PS3. I just bought a system solely for the purpose of playing MGS4 (and I enjoyed Ninja Gaiden Sigma, although it's hard as hell, and I will definitively buy Heavenly Sword and Uncharted), I am not ready to buy what I consider a dead system (I don't own a NDS neither, I don't play that much outside of my home) to play Portable Ops...

The game looks cool nonetheless!

question is the track from 20th Anniversary "the best is yet to come" from MGS4, I heard the beginning before but never heard the full track.

MGS2 Intro isn't on the soundtrack.

ARE YOU DOING IT ON PURPOSE? I'm not talking about the soundtrack!:P

On the 20th Anniversary MGS2 GAME, when you start the GAME, does it play the usual INTRO? If so, what is the track that plays, and has it CHANGED?

No?

Then chill out everyone.

Yeah, apparently the team was really down because no one noticed how different the environment was...

We noticed on MGS:TUS! Like two days after the trailer. We made research after noticing one of the parking signs.

The only places in the world we found that have the same parking signs are Brazil and Argentina.

So Portable Ops link?

Yeah, the team were down because no one noticed right away... The green filter might have something to do with it IMO, everything... green... everywhere... it's Twin Snakes all over again! :lol

hey guys is MGO going to be a PSN game or is it going to be like Warhawk and come out on PSN and BD also is it a PS3 exclusive??

You guys are questioning age in a world where bisexual vampires fight bisexual cybernetic ninjas.

horrible comparison. Those are completely unrelated to a character looking his/her age.

Kojima Productions hasn't mentioned whether it will be a PSN or BD release and its only been announced for the PS3.

I think it'll be both. They can't release MGS for PSN only. BD version will most likely have content like *gasp* MGS4 demo!! It might also have behind the scenes thing or if they are generous, a BT Headset.

And yes, its PS3 Exclusive.

I'm fairly certain that's what they will do. It certainly makes the most business sense. The question is when does MGO come out? The BETA is soon, so I imagine December/January, with MGS4 in March.

I'm making a little MGS4 movie, compiled from trailers and movie footage..It's not done yet, but it'll be done soon :).

It'll be my first movie though, so go easy on me :lol

Put a fitting MGS track.

So the anniversary edition comes with:

Metal Gear (don't really care)
Metal Gear 2 (don't really care)
MGS (loved, no longer own)
MGS2 (enjoyed, no longer own)
MGS3 (loved, no longer own)
MGS: PO (have never played, but always wanted Konami to port it)

That's AMAZING. I'll probably pick it up, even if I don't own a PS3 at the time.

Please tell me, though, that MGS3 is *Subsistence* and MGS2 is *Substance*.

It's not ported. It comes on the UMD, if I am not mistaken.

No I'm not quoting his face!

I don't know WHO that guy is but I hate seeing his mug.

Keep him out of our MGS4 thread!>:|

Did you like it?

Not bad, just needs a bit more tightening with the editing and interweaving with more of the different MGS4 trailers for variety and trailer style pacing, like when you showed off Raiden you could inter cut it with his fight with Vamp and so forth as opposed to the entire sequence, there is a to work with but not a bad start, the transitions are pretty smooth.

I must say, seeing MGS4 with the epic theme playing in the background....I got chills man, chills. I like it.

Did anybody take note of the psychological aspects they showed a bit of? Like when one of the militia started cowering after a few bullets flew right by his feet

I remember Kojima talking a lot about this in the first year MGS4 was revealed. I really hope this element is fleshed out, rather than something superficial. It'd be great if you could become notorious because of your actions on the battlefield, seeing enemies just run at the sight of you by the end of the game. Or if you've done particular things like kill a lot of them rather than play stealthily, they might beg you for their life when you're holding them up, rather than simply shaking

Well what we saw in the trailer seemed scripted (how as soon as Snake exits the building some bullets pass by and the guy starts shaking). Just like when that dude gets shot in the building by nobody, the arrival of the truck, etc.

Anyway supposedly the idea is that if you do a lot of destruction it will have an impact, for example your opposing faction may be more likely to retreat, etc.

But knowing past MGS games I wouldn't expect too much in that regard. Plus I don't like how suddenly some militia guy starts shaking in his boots, no more than point a gun at a PMC and searching him causes him to shake and cry. But that's MGS:p Kojima often has great gameplay ideas, but they are often poorly implemented.
