It would be actually funny if you used a player, that you know, has been longer in the league than two seasons :lol

Even this douchebag made it to the playoffs in his rookie season!

Pick him up Blazers, his playoff experience will come in handy when you need someone to meltdown and throw a tantrum.

I'm finally able to postand I figured that this is a good of place than any to post my first post. so hi, I'm a sixers fan.....so yes I'm a masochist.

WELCOME...

Take a seat, we got lots to cover.

1)Never say anything good about the lakers...remember the heartache?
2)Don't like kobe
3)And know that Poody and Shinobi like driving latenights together.

repeat

LOLinger does it again!

In the previous nine postseasons since Michael Jordan retired -- what I'll call the Parity Era -- the winning percentage of home teams in the second round has been 65 percent. This year in the second round, it's 95 percent.

It's definitely parity, since 7 of the last 9 champions have been one of two teams, and the finals have not featured one of those teams exactly ONCE.

Two things to remember if the Wolves pick third or lower — their best chance is to pick fifth (29.05 percent) or fourth (23.82 percent) — and must make a decision on Mayo, likely the subject of a forthcoming NCAA investigation for allegedly accepting thousands of dollars of gifts and cash from a sports agent while he was in high school and college: The agency who allegedly paid up in return for the future right to represent Mayo is run by Bill Duffy, Kevin McHale’s former college roommate. And Mayo’s college coach was Tim Floyd, who coached Hoiberg at Iowa State. Hoiberg said he has talked “a lot” with Floyd recently about his USC players.
Oh, god no.

QUICK, how many seasons did it take the player below to make the playoffs?

Well.

Just made a bet with my Spurs fan friend. We'll be watching game 7 at a local bar and we've agreed to purchase jerseys beforehand. He'll be wearing some atrocious Spurs garb while I'll be sporting a beautiful Chris Paul jersey. Winner of the game has to wear the other jersey and take a picture to be immortalized on Facebook for two weeks. This is going to be cake...

This especially.

About three months ago, Poody had an extra ticket to a Laker game. He put up an open invite in this thread, and I was the first one to respond. Apparently, that made me gay. Because, why else would a man go to a sports event with another man, if he wasn't into the cock?

Calderon is packing his bags - and that leaves Toronto stuck with TJ Ford and no back-up to step in for when he gets injured, again, like always.

Does Dallas still need a point guard? :lol

Jose really has no choice. I mean, he can force his way out, but he is a RFA.

This should play out nicely. I expect a major S/T to go down this summer involving him.

A few posts above someone talking about OJ. Leave him alone!!! Like Reilo has Brandon, Mayo is gonna be my love child. Go NY!

Calderon has already expressed interest in resigning, at the end-of-year presser, and throughout the season. The only new revelation is that Calderon now wants Ford gone, which was a foregone conclusion based on their respective play, injury concerns, and which point suits the teams style better. Calderon wins in all those areas.

Anyways, continue speculating amongst yourselves.

The fuck? How dare you compare the shithead that is OJ Mayo to Brandon Roy?

I'll shank you bitch!

Hey! You do that and you're all alone as a Portland fan here! Well.. until Portland starts rolling and people start jumping on the bandwagon.. BUT STILL! Seriously, would you rather keep the Blake/Jack/Sergio rotation? Or have someone who can actually play defense? And at least he works hard, unlike most knuckleheads in the NBA.

That's cool. You can do whatever you want with Mayo in the privacy of your home, just as long has this act doesn't find its way to the Target Center 41 times a year.

I'd rather have someone that would not go to jail. Besides, Portland has a history of obtaining shooting guards in a point guards body - I think it's time to stop those experiments already.

He's not THAT bad. All his exploits were just blown out of proportion because of who he is. Just like when Portland was considered the JailBlazers, because some of them liked to smoke weed.. (i'm not counting Rueben Patterson and Qyntel). And since Portland has no other big franchises, it's like the end of the world if you're caught smoking.

And the beauty of having Mayo, he doesn't NEED to be the primary PG. He can create shots for others, play good/great D on the opposing PG, and help bring up the ball with Roy. Half of Portland already thinks Roy is gonna be the PG of the future anyways. And let's face it, not many PG's out there for Portland to acquire anyways. Either way, Portland won't get Mayo, and I trust whatever KP does.

No he didn't; the Raptors were 16-66 and during T-Mac's rookie season.

:lol :lol :lol

OWNED.

They were 23-27 the following season, too, and didn't make the playoffs.

Oakley was the highest paid player and was making nearly $11mil.

He's still not the right fit for Portland. Why would Portland want to play an undersized 2G at the 2G position? Haven't Juan Dixon, Jarrett Jack, Damon Stoudamire, and the endless playing two point guards at the same time scenarios of the past few years taught you anything?

This is precisely why I really don't want him on the Wolves. We're already amidst the experiments that are McCants and Foye. Guess how well those are going?
Take one crack at Foye and I'll cut you.

Whoever picks Mayo is making a massive massive mistake.

I think that this post is pretty indicative of how bad he actually is.

I guarantee you Bryan will try to package No. 17 and a player (Ford? Parker? Nesterovic?) and move up into the lottery. But until we know the results of the lottery and the draft order, we can’t even guess which team he’ll call first.

Speculation from a Toronto writer, but interesting none the less. Ford, a 17th pick, and a not so useless expiring seems like a decent package to entice some of those 3-10 lottery teams.

Isn't that usually good enough to get into the playoffs in the East?

No :lol

1998 still produced a champion from the East.

The East had 10 teams finish above .500 that year. The Cavs won 47 games for fucks sake!

How far does he want to move up? Portland will prob end up with the 13th pick.

I think you missed my point. That fact that he'd be playing with Roy, you would consider Mayo the "PG." Which means, he wouldn't be matched up against bigger players. When Juan Dixon played, he was paired most of the time with Steve Blake, both PG bodies. Same with Jack, except when he was with Roy, which wouldn't make him a liability on either end, because he would go against the opposing PG. Damon.. well, I got nothing with him. He was always considered the PG.

Kevin McHale will definitely not trade down. Maybe. OKC might be willing to deal if they can't get Rose or Beasley, though.

I'd take it with a grain of salt, this writer is notoriously wrong on everything, but if I had to guess, 5-10, seems that's where Collangelo excels at in the draft.

Too bad he doesn't excel at #1, amirite :lol
