In the previous nine postseasons since Michael Jordan retired -- what I'll call the Parity Era -- the winning percentage of home teams in the second round has been 65 percent. This year in the second round, it's 95 percent.

The Lottery will save me!
Oh, god no.Two things to remember if the Wolves pick third or lower their best chance is to pick fifth (29.05 percent) or fourth (23.82 percent) and must make a decision on Mayo, likely the subject of a forthcoming NCAA investigation for allegedly accepting thousands of dollars of gifts and cash from a sports agent while he was in high school and college: The agency who allegedly paid up in return for the future right to represent Mayo is run by Bill Duffy, Kevin McHales former college roommate. And Mayos college coach was Tim Floyd, who coached Hoiberg at Iowa State. Hoiberg said he has talked a lot with Floyd recently about his USC players.

Pick him up Blazers, his playoff experience will come in handy when you need someone to meltdown and throw a tantrum.
You do know T-Mac was in the playoffs as a rookie right?reilo said:QUICK, how many seasons did it take the player below to make the playoffs?

Does Dallas still need a point guard? :lol

This should play out nicely. I expect a major S/T to go down this summer involving him.
A few posts above someone talking about OJ. Leave him alone!!! Like Reilo has Brandon, Mayo is gonna be my love child. Go NY!

reilo said:I'll shank you bitch!
That's cool. You can do whatever you want with Mayo in the privacy of your home, just as long has this act doesn't find its way to the Target Center 41 times a year.jordan0386 said:A few posts above someone talking about OJ. Sumidor said:Hey! You do that and you're all alone as a Portland fan here! Well.. until Portland starts rolling and people start jumping on the bandwagon.. BUT STILL! Seriously, would you rather keep the Blake/Jack/Sergio rotation? Or have someone who can actually play defense? And at least he works hard, unlike most knuckleheads in the NBA.

reilo said:I'd rather have someone that would not go to jail. Besides, Portland has a history of obtaining shooting guards in a point guards body - I think it's time to stop those experiments already.
malek4980 said:No he didn't; the Raptors were 16-66 and during T-Mac's rookie season.
Sumidor said:He's not THAT bad. All his exploits were just blown out of proportion because of who he is. Just like when Portland was considered the JailBlazers, because some of them liked to smoke weed.. (i'm not counting Rueben Patterson and Qyntel). And since Portland has no other big franchises, it's like the end of the world if you're caught smoking.
And the beauty of having Mayo, he doesn't NEED to be the primary PG. He can create shots for others, play good/great D on the opposing PG, and help bring up the ball with Roy. Half of Portland already thinks Roy is gonna be the PG of the future anyways. And let's face it, not many PG's out there for Portland to acquire anyways. Either way, Portland won't get Mayo, and I trust whatever KP does.
This is precisely why I really don't want him on the Wolves. We're already amidst the experiments that are McCants and Foye. Guess how well those are going?reilo said:I'd rather have someone that would not go to jail. That best point guard from the 2006 NBA Draft. Portland traded his rights and gavereilo said:Who?
I guarantee you Bryan will try to package No. 17 and a player (Ford? Parker? Nesterovic?) and move up into the lottery. But until we know the results of the lottery and the draft order, we cant even guess which team hell call first.
Jeff-DSA said:Isn't that usually good enough to get into the playoffs in the East?
Kak.efes said:Speculation from a Toronto writer, but interesting none the less. Ford, a 17th pick, and a not so useless expiring seems like a decent package to entice some of those 3-10 lottery teams.
reilo said:He's still not the right fit for Portland. Why would Portland want to play an undersized 2G at the 2G position? Haven't Juan Dixon, Jarrett Jack, Damon Stoudamire, and the endless playing two point guards at the same time scenarios of the past few years taught you anything?
Kevin McHale will definitely not trade down. Maybe. OKC might be willing to deal if they can't get Rose or Beasley, though.Kak.efes said:Speculation from a Toronto writer, but interesting none the less. Fixed that for ya.Kak.efes said:T-Mac is fucking useless.
reilo said:How far does he want to move up? Portland will prob end up with the 13th pick.
Kak.efes said:I'd take it with a grain of salt, this writer is notoriously wrong on everything, but if I had to guess, 5-10, seems that's where Collangelo excels at in the draft.
They already have Durant at the 3 and Green at the 2 (I think he's a 2?), so they need a point and I'd bet they'd take a gamble on Ford.reilo said:
