Fuck all this crying. Horry didn't do anything wrong. He had to set a pick against a guy that has back problems. That's just basketball smarts. He didn't throw a punch, extended his forearm or anything like it. Fuck the pussification of the NBA!

He is bracing for impact. Horry isn't really even looking at him. Where is this juice. I think the Spurs are a bunch of flopping bitches with the dirtest player in the NBA at SF. But I really don't see the juice you are talking about.. or Horry being a "goon"

West was jumping back. normally in that situation, you dont lean forward into a guy's back. you stand up straight.
 
West is responsible for all the momentum. Horry just braced himself. I didn't see the game but if that was a no call, its a correction from the previous game when Chandler was given a foul when Parker ran into him.

It was just a hard screen. I don't think Horry should have been assessed the foul tonight and I don't think Chandler should have been assessed the foul in Game 5 when Parker ran backwards into him.

exactly. Horry was probably just trying to give him a nice, hard screen, its unfortunate that West jumped leading to an awkward collision. No reason to act like Rob "Kermit Washington'd" somebody.
 
I still think he intended to go after his back but its all guessing so ill leave it. What I will say is it was absolutely fucking classless for the Spurs fans to cheer the roof off when West went down. Fucking Classless!

I think it's pretty borderline. But I guess we'll never know so there's not much to be said.

The sad part is if West can't go that really taints the series. (Not that the Spurs will care)

Why would it taint the series? Manu has played on a bad ankle the whole time? Injuries happen, especially at the end of the season. West has a pinched nerve. That's not exactly anyone's fault.
 
give me a break dude. this is professional sports, not the pity parade at emo hill. shit happens. basketball is a contact sport. you think new orleans fans wouldn't be cheering if duncan was pushed down and broke his ankle or something? again, injuries happen, and whether they are on purpose or not really makes no difference at the end of the day. i seriously doubt horry planned on putting west out. not saying he didn't plan for a hardscreen but this isn't ballet BRAH!

I hope your not talking to me because I think my posts made it pretty clear I wasnt't getting mad he did it. I think it was intentional but thats really subjective unless Horry comes out and says he meant to do it. My only gripe is the cheering at the injury. And yes if Im at the game and Duncan goes down and the crowd cheered, I'd think that would be pretty fucked up too.

However CP3 seemed to take that insane cheering at West's injury to heart, so expect him to go off on the Spurs Monday.
 
I try and keep "Bad Karakand" off GAF because it's neutral ground but whenever you guys go on about "class" in fandom I really want to show you what true classlessness is like because you have no god damn idea how depraved the bottom of the barrel really is.

i think that would be just fine with the spurs. CP has been going off on them all series, even in the losses. it's not what CP does, the spurs know what he's going to do and they can't stop it. it's what everyone else does.

That is exactly what the Spurs want. He's not Kobe or Bron and he can't score enough to beat a team by himself. If West has another off game, NO is gonna lose..

Oh I hear you, I had a cousin(7 years old) at the Saints/Bears championship game get pelted with snowballs and told that they wished him and my family would have drowned in the hurricane. I had another friend who missed the game because they were chucking rocks at a group of Saints fans heading to the stadium. And that was just people I knew, I heard worse stories of people getting jumped and threatened.

By going off I don't mean scoring 40, I mean 6-10 rebounds, 30 points, 15 assists, 4+ steals, kinda going off. Cp3 doesn't know how to not involve everyone, to a point its sometimes detrimental, ie, giving West the ball when he can't hit shit, or Pargo when all he does is ball hog and take stupid shots.
 
He is not gonna get 15 assists if West has an off game. They need that 2nd scorer or maybe even a third.

Spurs will not go quietly and you can book Tim, Manu and TP for 65 pts combined or more on Monday..

We'll see. The Spurs have a must win mentality for just about every game with a coach like Pop, and you can bet that they were trying hard on those double digit losses in New Orleans.

Personally I expect a narrow Hornets win. It seems like the tale of this series has failed to ever change. Home advantage remains extremely important and so long as West is in game shape I don't see much changing.

I expect an amazing game though. The old men can rest and the injured can heal to give it their best shot on Monday.

If the Lakers can take care of business tomorrow thats 4 days of rest. The Laker fan in me hopes the Spurs and Hornets fucking destroy each other and the Hornets make it through for an mvp matchup =).

And hopefully Boston takes care of Detroit. One step closer to fantasy
