There are a few teams I want the Steelers to play for revenge.

The Ravens and Bengals are already locked in so there is no need to hope for anything there. But I want to see the Steelers play the Falcons, Pats, and Jags. The Falcons because they knocked Ben out again just when he was getting healthy and indirectly led to our embarassing defeat against the Raiders (which is what kept us out of the playoffs). The Pats because they are evil and now have Ben's kryptonite in AD, who must be stopped. And the Jags because those bastards either get Ben in a retard state, or Tommy Maddox, or some other bullshit to bail them out.

you do know the actual schedule has been out since janauary right? the release on april 5th isn't a list of who teams or playing, but rather when. you can alreadya find out if your team is playing the falcons, pats, or jags!

unless you meant "there are a few teams i want to SEE the steelers play" as in your most anticipated games. in which case i would say that no steelers games are anticipated since they are a 6-10 team this year. i called it bitches!

p.s. lay your niner hate on me friend

http://www.nfl.com/schedules/tv/2007_opponents That's been out for a while. The divisions rotate each year so you can already see what divisions you play 4 years from now.

And why the hell are the Cowboys playing the Panthers in Carolina AGAIN? They played the panthers away the the last two years.

I didn't know the schedule was out yet. Looks like Ben is going to make AD pay for trying to kill him last year when we visit Foxboro and expose the Pats like the Colts did last year (for this I will always love you Mr. Manning). I anticipate Ben is going to end AD's career and possibly his life with a lethal block when he opens up a nice running lane for fast Willie Parker. Paybacks a bitch!

We also get a clear shot at the Jags and this year no injuries or Tommy Maddoxes can get in our way.

P.S. Your Steelers hate is going to go to another level this year when the Steelers get that 6th ring and put them back where they belong at the top of all NFL franchises. Strange that even without any bones in his face, no appendix, and multiple concussions the Steelers and Sexy Ben still finished with a better record than Alex and fragile VD. It is simply not possible for the Steelers to finish the season with less than 18 wins with a healthy Big Ben.

oh you may very well finish with 18 wins. however, your attempt at a 19th win (the superbowl) will fall short as you lose to king alex

If the Niners make the Superbowl I will willingly wear the gayest Jgar or Alex avatar you can find for a year.

No chance of that happening!

But when the Steelers get to and win the Superbowl this season I will make a special Big Ben avatar (with all facial bones now intact!) for you free of charge.

you will wear it for a year JUST if we MAKE the superbowl? wow. we are going to dominate the shit out of the NFC anyways, but now you sweeten the pot!

You must have forgotten that you guys play the NFC South this year. When we play you guys we are going to knock Alex Smith the f** out. :D

If the Steelers winthe Super Bowl I'll sport Big Ben bare ass in my avatar.. Its not happening. The only thing Gentle Ben will challenge for this year is Bret Favre for the league lead in INTs.

If only such a beautiful picture existed I would willingly use it as my avatar and people would call it art.

PFT has a story up about having a close source to McNabb saying he's close to retiring.

...I was shocked until I realized that April Fools Jokes in the 'media' apparently are still funny to some people.

Well if the Steelers win the superbowl I'll drive to the Steelers practice facility, break in while Ben is showering and take a picture of his bare ass myself, and then use it as my avatar.

:lol I would have to cheer for the Steelers this year then. GAF would get hilarious press.

Well if the Giants win the super bowl I'll drive to New York where I would break into the Giants practice facility and take a picture of Eli's bare FRONT while he is showering. I would then of course use that picture for my avatar.

I'm going to miss your "THIS IS AMERICA/NEOGAF DUDE" avatar.

Looks like ESPN realizes the 49ers are going to own the NFC...

Denver at San Francisco (ESPN, Aug. 13, 8 p.m.) open the preseason on ESPN monday night? Holla.

< prays that the Skins aren't stupid enough to get Briggs....

Briggs is great, dont get me wrong. But he won't do sh*t when he he offensive linemen blocking him cus our defense front four is so porous! Our current crop will play great if we get some bodies upfront!

MaestroRyan said:
bring in briggs, draft alan branccccch. he's not as good as okoye but he's more of a runstuffa

I'm stupid so correct me if I'm wrong but....I don't think Branch will be available at the 31st pick. If we get Briggs, the Bears get our #6 pick.

MaestroRyan said:
i think it's safe to say the 49ers will surprise a lot of people this year. alex smith will continue to develop and frank is a ****ing beast. if they have a solid draft, 9ers could sneak into the playoffs, mainly because NFC West is a ****ing joke.

no more of a joke than the nfc north has been the past few years.

nfc west = powerhouse div next year.

MaestroRyan said:
so if bears/skins work out briggs trade for something like swap 1st rounders and bears get next year's 4th rounder, do the bears draft brady quinn? they could move up again fairly easily, i think they would do it. grossman is injury prone, a turnover machine, and a complete jackass. it's about time for his ass to go.

You're right. After his first full season he only led his team to the super bowl, what kind of a chump is he!?

You're insane if you think Rex lead anyone anywhere this past season. Devin Hester did more to lead the team with a few 100-yard dashes than any of the Sex Cannon's actions.

Huh? Where's the schedule?

edit: Oh, it's just a few primetime games...and none for Carolina =/.

They haven't released all the primetime games yet, and we did get a primetime PRESEASON game!

BTW, David Carr's in town tonight and he's spending all of tomorrow with Carolina officials...come on, sign him! He can relax his aching body for a year before taking over for Delhomme!

Check the stats for last December's close games against Saint Louis, Tampa Bay, and Detroit.

And no, a Redskins fan really can't tell me about how good QB play is important to a team.

I agree with your opinion on Rex but I could have sworn Eli Manning was your QB.... ;)

Last December? The Bears already had their postseason invitation by that point. Those games were meaningless. The Bears D/ST is what got them to the SuperBowl, period.

And speaking of QBs, have fun this season with Eli at the helm. I hope 4th place in the NFC East is comfortable.

ya but those games in december were not meaningless, the bears ended up winning home field advantage in the playoffs, and case in point, having that home game in the nfc championship game versus new orleans helped quite a bit

and i rather have eli or grossman over that mess in washington brunell or jcampbell lol

More random news:

- Jets officially announced the signing of defensive end David Bowens, and also waived wide receiver Phil Silva.
- Cardinals sign free agent Mike Gandy to a three-year undisclosed contract.
- Punter Derrick Frost re-signed with the Redskins.

He actually showed some improvement. I'm glad that we're retaining players for once instead of always going for the greener grass. If I'm not mistaken but wasn't D. Akers with us when he was young? We let him go cus he wasn't good enough. Hopefully the progress that Derrick showed is the beginning of a good career. I think it's about time that we grow our own talent.

(Against gettting Briggs!)

One can only hope, and I REALLY hope he does wind up in Carolina. Could be a potential steal.

Says the guy who's team is 2-3 vs. Eli Manning, counting one game in Manning's rookie year.

;)
