I have to throw this up for old time's sake -

Alright, there's seriously someone just ****ing with the sports media now. Apparently there's a rumor being reported on the radio here about LDT being on the trading block.:lol :lol

I actually heard that. The Deal would send Tomilson and Phillip Rivers to the Oakland Raiders for a 5th round pick this year and a 7th round pick next year. The chargers will also throw their 1st rounder in the deal by decree of Norv Turner who wants to make up to the Raiders for not doing shit while he was there.

Jags are also reportedly close to trading John Henderson & Marcus Stround to San Fran for Kwame Harris.

i cant confirm this post, but i doubt he's lying. so if gordo isnt full of shit, we'll be getting jenkins (probably for a 2nd)

Most I would give up for Kris is a 3rd this year and either a conditional pick next year. Also at this stage I think he would be better suited in a 3-4 where he would be asked to do what he does naturally which is take up space as a nose tackle, as opposed to 4-3 where he is going to be asked to sack the QB.

yeah, but again, nobody has a worse run defense than the rams. if we have to overpay for someone who will help, then i say go for it.

if he sacks the QB a few times, cool.

Breaking News: 49ers draft Chris Leak to replace Alex Smith.

Man that homoerotic pic of Brady Maxwell is tame. You should go look at some of the OPs from my college football threads last season.

Finally the Steelers have created a mascot....

Now he can be promptly humiliated in the beer race by one Jaxson D'Ville!

They've gone insane! They turned Cowher into a mascot, it's kinda funny actually.

Anyway, they also will wear new throwback unis at one preseason and two home regular season games for their 75th season celebration:

The helmet and jersey I like, not sure about the pants.

That might actually be the gayest I've ever seen someone in a football uniform look. It's not just the white pants either.....did ya'll trade for JGar?

Says the guy who's team graduated from the Seahawk school of bland colors. By the way, it is the white pants. Ruins the whole look.

PL's 2007 Chiefs Draft Predictions

1. AFTER the Raiders pick Calvin Johnson, (waiting to prevent a Dante C trade)
2. Chiefs trade Trent Green to Miami for an extra fourth and seventh round picks
3. Chiefs try to trade up, but decide to stick with the 23rd
4. We draft a DT in the 1st
5. OT in the 2nd
6. CB in the 3rd
7. FB in the 4th. WR in the 4th (the extra pick we get from Miami).

5th-7th rounds:
WR, OG, LB, CB.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers will release linebacker Shelton Quarles before the 2007 NFL Draft, general manager Bruce Allen told the media on Tuesday. Quarles, 35, will be released after he failed the team's physical.

Early Rumor is that Texans and Broncos have reached an early agreement to swap first round picks, and are trying to iron out the details.

****ING BRONCOS! The two players they're targeting are the two players I want most, Anderson and Willis. The bastards try to jump us laster year for The Duke but luckily Green Bay wasn't having any of it. GET YOUR OWN PROSPECTS PONIES!

http://www.profootballtalk.com/rumormill.htm

"REPORT OF TEXANS-BRONCOS TRADE NOT TRUE

There's a report on a web site that posts football new snippets in small blurbs with even smaller fonts that used to get a lot more traffic than us (but no longer does) stating that the Broncos have consummated a trade with the Texans for a flip-flop of the No. 10 and No. 21 pick in the draft.

But Adam Schefter of NFL Network reports that the report is false, and that the Broncos and Texans have not had a single serious discussion about swapping picks.

Schefter also says that the Broncos would never do a deal like this before the draft. That makes sense to us, since the purpose of moving up would be to get a specific guy who might or might not be there when the higher pick is used."

Those steelers unis(the whole get-up) is nice.

The white's growing on me. I do like how pretty faithful they are to the 50s and early 60s home unis. The only differences would be that they had grey face masks back then (like in my avatar) and player numbers on the helmet sides for a few years before they got the Steeler emblem in '62. Oh, and black shoes. Would be interesting to see if fan reaction can make them stay for longer than just this year.

Got distracted by school stuff and alcohol but tommorow wil be great. Zak DeOssie third round, the big show forever. :lol :lol :) :) :D :D :lol

Trade would send 49er pick to Seahawks for star WR

According to a league sources, San Francisco and division rival Seattle are working toward a trade that would send Seahawks wide receiver Darrell Jackson to the Niners in exchange for one of their fourth-rounders, believed to be the Niners' third selection in the round, No. 124 overall. The New Orleans Saints and Tennessee Titans, whose new general manager Mike Reinfeldt came over from Seattle, are also believed to be talking with Seattle about Jackson.

a steal for a 4th rounder

A great theory/strategy here in KC is going around my favorite radio station, 610 Sports. Check out that station some time--it rules.

Anyway, the suggestion is that KC could essentially draft either a WR OR an OT in the 1st round and call it a wash. If they don't draft an OT, that means that their number one target, Tony G, will be forced to stay on the line to help out much of the time--which would require a new #1 target for Brody to throw at. Of course, if they draft an OT, that means that Tony can get off the line and give Brody (or Huard, ok?) a nice solid target to throw at. Interesting thought, I guess.

But that's only the first round, and we desperately need a huge block swallowing DT and some young corners.

=========

What are everyone's plans for the draft tomorrow? 610 is throwing a draft party at the Isle of Capri (KC) if anyone around here is interested. See you guys there!

Here is my mock draft for the first round. Because it's impossible to predict trades I put more focus on where a guy is going to go overall, that's why some picks might seem odd. And even though I put Jamarcus at the top spot, I'm sorta leaning towards Calvin going first. I just can't make up my damn mind! Here she is...

1. OAK - Jamarcus Russell QB
2. DET - Calvin Johnson WR
3. CLE - Brady Quinn QB
4. TB - Joe Thomas OT
5. ARZ - Gaines Adams DE
6. WAS - Amobi Okoye DT
7. MIN - LaRon Landry S
8. ATL - Levi Brown OT
9. MIA - Alan Branch DT
10. HOU - Adrian Peterson HB

11. SF - Adam Carriker DE
12. BUF - Patrick Willis LB
13. STL - Leon Hall CB
14. CAR - Jamaal Anderson DE
15. PIT - Ted Ginn Jr. WR
16. GB - Reggie Nelson S
17. JAX - Paul Posluzny LB
18. CIN - Darelle Revis CB
19. TEN - Dwayne Bowe WR
20. NYG - Marshawn Lynch HB

21. DEN - Greg Olsen TE
22. DAL - Robert Meachem WR
23. KC - Joe Staley OT
24. NE - Jon Beason LB
25. NYJ - Justin Blalock OG
26. PHI - Dwayne Jarrett WR
27. NO - Brandon Meriweather S
28. NE - Aaron Ross CB
29. BAL - Michael Griffin S
30. SD - Lawrence Timmons LB

31. CHI - Justin Harrell DT
32. IND - Chris Houston CB

Flame away!

No fucking way could Seattle be that stupid. Trading away basically their #1 reciever to a divison rival for a 4th round pick? That's idiotic on a galactic scale. If Ruskell is even thinking about making this move.....holy crap.....anger.....rising.......

Darrell Jackson is worth a hell of alot more than that and you don't just give him away. Especially not to a team you're in direct competition with.

...I was going to post a picture of Nolan, and try to be funny, but I don't know why the **** you guys would trade DJ to us for a 4th round pick. Any team would be considerably lucky to land a 900+ yard, 10 touchdown guy with a 2nd or 3rd, let alone a 4th.

The only possible reason that I can come up with that this rumor even exists is that Seattle is trying to shop DJ around and they're using this as some sort of leverage to get a better deal somewhere else. Hell would break loose here in Seattle if this SF deal actually went down.

less than twelve hours til Millen ****s up yet another year for the Lions...
at this point, i think he may juju voodo taint C. Johnson if he picks him, through no fault of Johnson's own :lol

Millen is the death sentence for WR's

Without my team having a first round pick, this has got to be the most uninterested I've ever been going into draft day. I haven't followed any mock drafts or predictions this year. I don't even know why I watch it on TV. Every year they usually only talk about the 'Hawks draft maybe once or twice the entire weekend (hell, they didn't talk about them or their picks at all in 2004 and I watched the entire thing - both days, both channels) and whenever they're up to pick they always cut to a commercial. Think I'm just being paranoid? Just watch the non-coverage.

I'll be surprised if Seattle is mentioned once tomorrow. No one likes dem Seahawks. :(

Woo, come on Texans. Take Reggie or Vince!

Um. Why? Last thing the Texans need is the most overrated players at their positions. Trade down in both rounds, and take Matt Leinart in the first, then take Maurice Jones-Drew in the second round. Use the extra picks to build some quality depth. Problem solved.

I just hope Colston drops to the 6th round so we can take him there and then let him compete for ROTY

ESPN just reported that the Browns may give picks and Wimbley to the Raiders for number 1 so they can draft Russel. I think I'll break down if that happens.

ESPN JUST REPORTED 5 CHICKENS AND GOAT FOR FIRST ROUND PICK TO PATRIOTS!

Final opinion

Would Love: Jamaal Anderson(or trade down and select Meachem)
Would be happy with: Patrick Willis
Would Settle for: Adam Carriker or Alan Branch
Don't Want: Levi Brown.
