With the draft just about under way, I like to say... it feels damn good to have the NFL dominate my weekend again. :D

May the Football gods bless JaMarcus Russel and the Oakland Raiders this day!

One of us will be using this picture before the day ends..hopefully its not me:

BTW... Did Brady Quinn set Todd McShay's puppy on fire or **** his girlfriend? McShay has a SERIOUS problem with Quinn for some reason even said that Charlie Frye was a lot better than him so the Browns shouldn't even consider Quinn.:lol :lol :lol

Quinn>J-Russ IMO

IMO John Beck or Trent Edwards will have the best career out of any QB in this draft(though Quinn will if he goes to right system(.If I were Raiders I'd get CJ and then draft Beck, but they won't do that because Jemarcus' arm gives Davis a stiffy.

Man, I wish the Jags didn't pick so late at 17, heading to the bar in a little bit to watch the draft with my buds. By my calculations, we'll be picking around 430 or so.....I might not even be coherent by then.

I actually kinda wish we just threw the draft at the Lions and moved up to get Calvin Johnson, it'd be a helluva lot to pay, but he would complete our offense.

BTW, ESPN just reported I have no pants.

supposedly atlanta offered the lions a TON of shit and the lions turned it down. if Russel gets locked up by the Raiders then all of a sudden the Lions get a helluva lot of power in their trading position.

I think ESPN is trying to groom Keyshawn to replace Irvin once he retires after next year.

Doesn't have the style for it though!

And one good thing about watching the draft in a bar is that I generally won't hear Chris Berman doing his annoying thunder-stealing from Goodell.

Too early to tell on Keyshawn right now, but he hasn't been bad so far. As far as the draft broadcasts go, they really need to make a run at Corey Chavous when he retires. He seriously knows his stuff.

11:45 a.m. -- A source close to the situation just told me that the phones are already ringing off the hook in Detroit's war room and the offers for Calvin Johnson are flooding in. The Lions weren't expecting the action to heat up until they were on the clock but teams apparently believe the reports that JaMarcus Russell is going to the Raiders and now the Lions have the option on Johnson.

No word yet on exactly how many teams or which teams, but I was told the Lions were floored by the amount of calls they got.
found this.

I'm really hoping that the Falcons make moves to get CJ.

Vick + Horn + CJ + Dunn + Crumpler x (Vick throwing his usual 2 picks) = The new greatest show on turf.:D

The Lions could get a trade worthy of a #1 pick for the Johnson pick as long as Russell is drafted. If the Raiders draft Johnson, they'll get nothing:lol

I'm viewing the nfl.com blog since I'm stuck at work... why is Adam Schefter still obsessed with seeing Randy Moss being traded to the Patriots? If the Packers and Patriots are close in terms of the draft pick they're willing to part with, he is probably going to Green Bay.

What if Russell turns out to be the next Akili Smith? :(

I will laugh and laugh and laugh and laugh as it's painfully obvious that he's not the best player in the draft and probably not the best QB, and I like seeing other teams make historically stupid moves.

LOL everytime Keyshawn says something it is met with confusion by the rest of the team... i want him to get his stride going..

I don't trust either Quinn or Russell to be surefire hits in the pro world. I would be either drafting Johnson or trying my ass off to trade down and maybe get a QB in the 2nd or later.

START THAT CLOCK UP!
