what got into brett favre tonight? I thought he was slinging and slangin it all over the place this season? really, he seemed a little off...

I'm pretty sure the -20+ degree wind-chill and wind speed may have had something to do with it.

Congrats Giants, congrats Wellie!

The Packers did not deserve to win.

I'll be rooting for the Giants and hope they beat the Patriots. Good for Eli as well, I got on him earlier this year, but damn he has matured.

On the bright side, we're a young team. I just hope that INT doesn't leave a bad enough taste in Brett's mouth to affect his retirement decision. I want him back.

Now if you'll excuse me, I'm gonna go crawl into a dark corner and hibernate for about 7 months. :(

I wanted Green Bay to win, but the Giants were the better team tonight. Congratulations to them. I'm glad to see them get another shot at the Patriots. Should be a fun super bowl to watch.

Brady played like shit. If not for Maroney, the Pats would've lost
Favre played like shit, period. He looked like he was extremely bothered by the cold. Congrats to Manning who was fantastic.

I'm still going with the Patriots to win the Super Bowl, though. I don't see Brady having two bad games in a row, and they have soooo many offensive weapons. But hey, even Peyton didn't win a Super Bowl until well into his career. Eli'll be back.

Dark Lord Belichick will take everything he learned from the week 17 matchup against the Giants and use it to eviscerate them. Welcome to yr doom, Eli.

Patriots are going to destroy the Giants. And at least we'll get to see a Manning go down in flames against them.
i don't understand this, didn't the giants lose in a close game against the pats?

Look, I understand the 18-0 thing, but did you happen to see the last game of the regular season? The Giants played the Patriots as well as anyone else this season.

i had to jump in and give wellington a congrats, cause I have always given him and his giants shit for the longest.

congrats man, i wish your team luck against the pats and the devil brady

Hell Yes!!! And my LT throwback jersey came on friday. Superbowl here we come. Giants Baybee!!!!!!!!

DAMN THE PATRIOTS ARE 19-0

PERFECT SEASON AND NOW THEY HAVE THE SUPERBOWL.

Eli is a better playoff qb than peyton :lol

Congrats to the Giants.

But like Bezz said, G-Men have NOOOO chance NOOOO chance against the Patriots.

Congrats Pats Fans, you won it all.

Can't say I expected the outcome, but damn this was a pretty good game.

I'm pretty much neutral on the Super Bowl this year, so it should be fun.

Ratings are going to be thru the roof, advertisers are doing damn backflips.

Quite the opposite.

Favre actually is the most marketed NFL player from an advertising standpoint. He is currently in 4 separate nation-wide commercial ad campaigns.

I really can't imagine they're happy about this. The fact the NYC is a huge city pales in comparison to the breadth of viewership for the superbowl.

WHAT?? They're not happy getting the NY market?

I love New Yorker's and their ego ... its so cute. NY market is peanuts.

Oh yeah none of you bitches can try and hop on the Eli wagon now. There are some times when it's simply too late for redemption. This would be like GAF's militant atheist league trying to cry crocodile tears during Jesus' return...

The Patriots had their way with the Giants when it mattered. As they will in the Superbowl.

And hey, I called the Charges/Pats game being close while most everyone else was saying it was going to be a blowout.

Don't try to reason with people who haven't watched football all season.
Gotcha

man, that was a pretty damn good game, i thought the packers was gonna own eli and the giants. But i'm happy for peyton manning and his brothers team. ;)

A little too early for superbowl predictions...don't ya think?

Like I said earlier...The NFL is fuckin ecstatic with the result.

Like the fucking region needed some other rivalry! I hope the Giants win but this is definitely (as stated) another Red Sox vs. Yankees scenario

and I think Coughlin's face got ice burnt

I'm crying right now. (:lol )

And I had a few heart attacks throughout the course of the game.

Just hung the cheese head back on the wall.

Going to be a long couple of weeks, Belichick will have plenty of surprises for the Giants. Go Pats!

Also, this should end all debate about sitting starters barring injury late in the season, that tough Pats game undoubtedly provided momentum and confidence (especially to Eli).

Giants lost twice to the Cowboys in the regular season. Hell they got blown ot by Green Bay earlier in the season. Playoffs are an entirely different story. On that day NE had nothing to play for but an undefeated regular season. Now they have a chance to play for a
tainted, irrelevant
undefeated championship season and Belichick has two weeks to come up with a gameplan solely for one game against the Giants.

NY has a great offense and can have success in the air against the Pats but I don't think they have the defense to beat them. NE will have more than a few chances for big plays through the air.
