The Raiders fans I know hate the Pats, but hate them even more this year because of what Moss pulled over there. Maybe the Raiders can stick it to them next year, we shall see.

I'm bitter that Moss literally did nothing for years in Oakland, not that he's successful now.

Lookup Brady's Five worse games and the location of the majority of those.

Yep, the game this year in Miami is the only anomaly. There is a reason why the Pats take every Miami player away.

Yea, thats what I meant, hehe, I typed it out weird. My GF's sister's husband hates Moss for all the pouting and whining he did while in the silver and black. Seems like they had pieces for a good team if Moss didn't go all emo.

He's a free agent, and if he gets a ring, he'll be looking for cash instead of another ring.

Of course, but I'm sure the Patriots will offer up whatever he wants.

He's arguably the main reason why they're doing so well.

Have the Patriots ever offered up "whatever he wants" to anyone?

I've done a complete 180 on Moss. I don't think he is the key to the Patriots success and I think Pioli/BB realize that.

He's going to Jacksonville!

Green tea or coffee will be served in a few!!

... now for the monumental task of collecting all of the crow to make others eat.

I was on it since the playoffs started. Except I thought my Skins would be in this game instead of the Pack. :lol

I knew the Giants were playing with a hunger and determination since I saw them in the Bills and Pats games. And you know what? I think Shockey being gone is one of the biggest reasons for this team's turnaround. You lose to the Skins in a game where Shockey goes out, and you haven't lost since. Shockey is a cancer in the huddle, on the sideline and in the locker room, IMHO.

Anyway, I'd rather see the NFC East represented than the silly Packers (who got away with illegal contact/PI by Harris, Bigby and Woodson ALL SEASON LONG and tonight finally paid for it when it counted), so....go Giants!

Congrats Wellington.

I called it before he even got there. While everyone was doubting him, I was telling everyone to pick him up in FF. :lol

I don't really blame him all that much. What could he possible do with no one throwing to him? It was as if Collins hated him. His first year he had over 1000 yards even with the injury he was playing with and a shitty QB. Year 2 was a friggin' wash. Honestly, we didn't have a real QB or an oline. And we had a statue for a head coach and mr bed n breakfast calling plays on offense. The only memorable thing about that year was our defense and the breaking out of certain players like Nnamdi and Kirk.

[edit] About Moss' free agency: for the record, he took a huge paycut to play with the Pats this year.

Eh I mean this season was still pretty crappy on the whole but our wide receivers at least showed like they gave a fuck. I don't think Randy would have had a similar attitude if they had kept him for this year.

But all in all this is fairly minor stuff. It's much easier to hate guys that never wore the plata y negra than guys that did. :D

Marino had a stellar regular season, not a stellar career. Gotta show up when the pressure is greatest. That's the whole point of sports. I'm not playing favorites either. Reggie Miller is my favorite NBA player of all time, but I can't rank him in the elite group because he couldn't elevate his team to the next level. He was close, but couldn't overcome Jordan, Kobe or those damned Knick teams. Great player? Yup, but not in the same class as someone like Tim Duncan.

He would still have made it to 3 Super Bowls. A little better than Danny Boy without a better team.

Basketball is a little bit of a different sport, there you are 1/5th of your team, an individual can have a lot more impact.

I dont believe that these excellent players get scared cause they are in the playoffs, like some switch goes off in their head and they just play worse. As you go on in the playoffs the teams get better and better. For the most part the Dolphins with Marino were a one dimensional offense. Some of that was Marino's fault, I am not taking away all the blame from him, but some of it was not. A one dimensional offense for the most part wont last long in the playoffs. Also Marino was not as versatile as Elway or Montana, he kind of just stands there and throws so that hurts in the playoffs as well. I think the style of play they had hurt them more than the theory that Marino just got scared and started to play poorly.

I really believe that given the right team, the right set of circumstances Marino would have one a championship or two, I dont think he had some defect that prevents him from winning in the playoffs. Whatever, think what you want; he is considered as one of the greatest NFL players of all time as he should be.

Man I cannot believe this, all those horrible seasons, 4-12, 6-10, the collapse last season... having kept the faith after those years makes it so much better. :D

I picked you guys to go to the Super Bowl last year early on, you ruined my prediction. Now I find out I was just a year too soon. :P

I predicted week 10 that the Giants would end the Pats streak (feels like i used the wrong streak, is there another streak?). :O!

I didn't exactly have the superbowl in mind though...

congrats on the win welli...I was with a pretty big contingent of giants tonight (hall party) and we were all watching it on a 13 inch tv with about 50 of us. :lol

Needless to say it was the most fun party I've been at in a while. LOL

Remember how I said that I thought the Giants had a Superbowl potential squad with Tiki and Jacobs and Manning throwing out of the play-action? Well, replace Tiki with Bradshaw (Rook of the Year?) and Manning growing patience and stepping up in the pocket (!! when I saw that I swear I heard the Chariots of Fire theme), and look where the Giants are!

I wonder how Tiki feels now. :lol

Enjoy your run and I hope they can beat the Patriots for great justice. Regardless of the outcome, the Skins are going to smoke you next season! :D

The NFC Champs welcome the challenge. :D

16-0 assured. Now that shit is just pitiful. Wtf nfl?

Nondivision games include:

Broncos - Cards - Chiefs - Rams - Steelers

Chargers - Colts - 49ers - Raiders - Seahawks

3 of the 5 away games are against playoff teams. Isn't that easy....

people you do realize that the nfl schedule is basically set in stone years in advance right (except for 3 games, which are dictated by where each team finishes in the season before the schedule comes out). the pats have to play all of the division winners from each division! nfl can't help that otherwise

i never said i didn't knew that, all i said is that they'll likely could go 16-0. :/

wow just got home, but hell of a game tonight. the giants are hardly a dominant team, but they just seem to win somehow. hopefully they can upset asschin brady, but i wouldnt count on it. the nfl will definitely want to see the pats win this one.

i've already told you we are going to destroy them in san fran. you can mark this post and recount it next season when our offense runs rampant over the "greatriots"

I think Bradshaw IS the rookie of the year! He is the future of the Giants... for five years or so, as most runningbacks are out by then. Arrogant Pats fans tell me that they are going to find a way to get Chad Johnson. Pffft. You wish you could have the TRUE best receiver in the NFL. In reality, you don't need him, anyway.

I said Marino was a great quarterback, I just can't place him ahead of QBs who raised their game in the playoffs. I put more weight on playoff games than regular season, and Marino did not come through in what I consider the most important games.

Welker and Houshmandzadeh are more versatile than those two. But their teammates get the glory. :\ Also, Reggie Wayne is pretty hot.

Maybe if you continue to repeat yourself people will start agreeing. We understand your arguments, we dont agree, let's leave it at that :)

Most nauseating thing ever: arguing about greatest QBs of all time.

I agree, greatest QB is up there with religion, politics, and circumcision when it comes to GAF stupidity.

Let's stop with the "BRADSHAW ROY" talk.... the guy who won was the deserving winner. Number two was Joe Thomas.

Just cuz a guy is good doesn't mean he's the best, and there's absolutely nothing wrong with just being really really good.

Year Peyton made it to the big game: 9th as pro.

Year Eli made it: 4th

Somebody mentioned that the high snap at the end that led to the botched FG attempt was Tony Romo's revenge, and then during the OT coin toss I predicted Packers would get it and we would see Matt Hasselbeck's revenge. It's nice to have a call go your way sometime. :D

Re: Jersey colors...

I could be mistaken... but seeing as how Blue is their home jersey... and they only wear blue on the road for the teams that wear white at home... that would mean the Giants are undefeated wearing the whites.

So... uh... I'll take those whites :)
