...for me to wake up. I'll take a winning season and a trip to the playoffs, please.

I, for one, fully expect a repeat of last year's results.I also like how so far nobody is picking us to win. Keep up the good work GAF.
I may be a Falcon fan, but I am a GAMBLER at heart. So I'm not stupid. Sorry.tmdorsey said:How can you call yourself a Falcon fan and then pick the Panthers to win?

The Colts have an unreliable running game for the first time in forever. Which means that Peyton is going to have to be the sole engine that drives that offense. The media hype has made this game into an EVENT, and I think we all know what Peyton does when that's the case, right? Oh yeah, grabs his throat and CHOKES.Darmstadtium said:All these people expect the giants to beat the colts? lol
effzee said:ok after a week of making some nice trades, pickups, and cuts the eagles really pissed me off today. we cut both gaffney and mccants for lewis? mccants has size and was great on ST coverage. gaffney is better than lewis any day of the week, esp on sundays. why in the world do we have lewis still on our team? i wonder if reid would have cut gaffney if we didnt bring in stallworth, considering he was our only attempt at improving at the WR position all off season.
and then to top it all off we let go of J.R Reed...the only one our team capable of returning punts and kicks. wtf this cut doesnt make sense to me.
tmdorsey said:Carr to Andre Johnson all day baby!
Bowser said:I was hoping Roderick Hood would get cut so I could see CB's reaction :lol
BTW, I fully accept a plate of crow for thinking Dayne had a chance at a 1,000 yd season this year. But the last laugh's on CB cause he drafted him!!

Panthers | Team could take a look at Dayne
Sat, 2 Sep 2006 21:56:19 -0700
Steve Reed, of the Gaston Gazette, reports the Carolina Panthers could possibly take a look at free agent RB Ron Dayne (Broncos). Dayne played with the New York Giants when Panthers' head coach John Fox was in New York and he could be the short-yardage back the Panthers are looking for.
Here's the actual quote:Hitokage said:"could possibly take a look"
Yeah, ok, call me when they actually do.
However, dont be surprised if the Panthers consider working out former Heisman Trophy winner Ron Dayne, who was released by the Denver Broncos on Saturday. Dayne played with the Giants when Fox was in New York and he could be the short-yardage back the Panthers are looking for.

Tamanon said:Exactly, just like the Jags were possibly considering bringing in Kerry Collins.
Yup. The team with 3 quality QBs was looking for Collings.
Darmstadtium said:All these people expect the giants to beat the colts? lol
Wellington said:I was going to say that but it really depends on how the Giants put pressure on Peyton. The Patriots gave everyone the blue print on how to beat the Colts, now we all just gotta follow it. The only reason I give the Giants a shot is that between Strahan, Osi, Arrington, Pierce, and subbing in Kiwanuka, the pass rush can be lethal. With a running game that is suspect for the Colts, it should be feast and not famine for the DLine.
That said I am taking the Colts to win that game unless it rains here. :lol
Tamanon said:Fixed. Though I hate to admit it, considering I don't like the Pats.

MaestroRyan said:is portis in the opener?
That's too bad about Gabriel. I was surprised to see that move since he was our number 2 up until that trade. Gabriel had some good potential. Now the Raiders depth chart has a blank spot for #2 WR and Porter is still in as 2nd string. :lolKarakand said:THE RAIDERS CUT HE HATE ME
WTF
THERE GOES THAT XFL ATTITUDE
In other news, Darnell Bing is on injured reserve and the Pats traded for Doug Gabriel. Remember when I mentioned the Boston Sports Curse? Yeah, this is the first sign that it's come to the Pats. Who trades with the Raiders? That would indicate that they have young talent.

Sep 2 The Associated Press reports Washington Redskins RB Clinton Portis' (shoulder) availability for the season opener is in serious doubt, according to head coach Joe Gibbs.
