O ye of little faith, didn't you see us beat Cincinatti and Seattle last year? For shame!
I don't remember the Cincy game. But you have to admit the Jags had a pretty easy schedule last year. And it NEVER hurts to have to play the Texans and Titans 2x a year. Lucky bastards!

The Jags always had a great defense, but you need to score some points to win against the better teams.

I missed out on this. Can I still get in?

Wait, you can't laugh at that? The NFL giving the Cardinals a choice of who to play in their opener? And then the Cardinals picking you guys? It doesn't remind you of NCAA football? Stop the 40whiners routine. I'll give you props if you beat them.

first we are going to beat the cardinals, then the rams, then your sorry ass eagles in san fran. you call the 49ers a joke, but what is your team? 1 injury away from being one of the worst teams in the nfl (as last year proved). better hope mcribb stays healthy or you guys are toast (although i do love jgar!)

LMFAO, did any of you see that the father/coach run on the field and tackle a 13 year old player you delivered a late hit on his QB? :lol :lol :lol :lol :lol :lol :lol

Thats just crazy talk. Hell the eagles message board has an entire forum devoted to setting up road trips.

Oooo, wow, yippy skippy. Eagle fans do not travel as well as Steeler fans. Never have, never will.

let's not forget about America's team

Yeah, the self professed America's team. Always was a crock a bullshit. Nobody in the north east likes ****in Dallas. Nobody. It's like the one thing the whole area can agree on.

you guys travel to ohio and detroit. that's like a 3.5 hour drive. stfu with this "travel the country" shit

Guess you didn't watch the San Diego, Green Bay (yeah, that's right, in the sacred grounds of the frozen tundra), and Minnesota games.

I know for sure they drive down to D.C. just to be assholes in the parking lot.

They must have fit right in with the rest of the assholes from the area. Every team's got em.

Miami at Pittsburgh Normally I'd pick Pittsburgh, but I can't see them winning this without Big Ben.
Baltimore at Tampa Bay
Atlanta at Carolina
Denver at St. Louis
Buffalo at New England
Philadelphia at Houston
New Orleans at Cleveland
Seattle at Detroit
NY Jets at Tennessee
Cincinnati at Kansas City
Chicago at Green Bay
Dallas at Jacksonville
San Francisco at Arizona
Indianapolis at NY Giants
Minnesota at Washington
San Diego at Oakland GOooo RAIDERS! :D

btw, are we doing the "tie-breaker" thing in the no-confidence league?

That would be me. And I'm mightily annoyed that it's too long to be accepted as a team name for fantasy football. :(

Strange how people whine about the Jags having an easy schedule but never bring up the same thing about the Colts, Seahawks, Bengals, Bears, Panthers, Buccs, Dolphins or Vikings (who all had an easier schedule). Going by the predicted SoS figures for 2006 (which as always aren't worth the paper they're printed on) this season isn't actually much more difficult. In reality, of course, it'll take a few weeks to see which teams underwhelm and which teams overperform before it's worth even thinking about what this year's schedule's actually like.

I don't see why. We almost beat the Colts 3-0, and the man who stopped us from getting away with it has now left the team. :D

No, the eagles fans that travel to DC have built a horrible reputation in the last 20 years or so. Much more than any other visiting team's fans.

confidence points basically let you wager how confident you are on each pick. I don't really know how that pertains to anything, but I'm guessing if you win big on something you're really confident in, you get a higher rank in the pickem league.

I signed up for survival as MVPalmer.

bionic77 said:
What is the difference between the two leagues?

Confidence points make it a little more difficult. The league without confidence points is just straight up picking one team over the other, where with confidence points you have to wiegh your picks depending on how confident you are in each team winning. For each pick you get right, you get that number of points you placed on them.

Argh, the dastardly Seahawks signed Willie Ponder. I'll miss ya buddy. :(

While Ponder did do good, I think it was more of the special team blocking schemes that were implemented then just Ponder's skill, since Morton was giving us just as good field position as Ponder (without the 2? KR)

anyone else think this Foley situation stinks?
We need more info. If the cop was not in a uniform, no marked car then it stinks to hell. If he had a uniform and was in a marked car, then it seems like Foley ****ed up. I suspect the latter because if it wasn't legit, his lawyers would be running damage control and would probably sue the city for lost wages.

How the Lions fare against the Seahawks will set the tone for the rest of the season. If we at least put up a fight I think the season should go at least decently(a step up from the last 6 years) but if we get blown out its gonna be the S.O.S.

Also I'm glad C Rog is gone. He was a cancer to our team but it's a shame because we passed up on players like Troy Polamalu and Larry Johnson to get him. *Sigh*

1. Don't get your hopes this year for the Lions. Give them a year or two with Martz and let the culture of losing change up there first.

2. You can't possibly look at your draft picks like that. Remember, before LJ, there was still a Penn-State RB curse. Also, there will always always be gems that get passed for w/e reason. The only time that you can do this even remotely fair is if you trade a pick away.

The shooting occurred after Foley, who is 6-foot-4, 265 pounds, got out of the vehicle near his home in Poway and began walking toward Mansker, who identified himself, said he was armed and fired a warning shot into bushes.

Lisa Maree Gaut, a passenger, got behind the wheel and drove toward the police officer. Mansker fired two shots at the car and avoided getting struck. Gaut was unharmed.

Mansker fired at Foley when the suspect reached into his pants with his right hand. He fired again when Foley continued to walk toward him, and Foley fell to the ground.

The shooting occurred after Mansker followed a suspected drunken driver weaving in freeway traffic at speeds up to 90 mph. The driver nearly collided with several other vehicles.

Foley stopped three times, including at a red light after he got off the freeway. Mansker ordered him to pull over, but Foley drove away.

Brugos said Tuesday that while Mansker was wearing his police badge on the right side of his belt, he didn't believe he showed it to Foley from his car.

Asked if Foley saw the badge, Brugos said he didn't know.

Brugos said Mansker radioed his department's dispatcher for backup, and the dispatcher called different departments as Foley and Mansker crossed jurisdictions. Sheriff's deputies arrived shortly after Foley was shot.

I'm not going to assume that Tom Brady's supply of blood from newborn babies is low this season unless given reason otherwise. Assuming his offerings to Satan are back on schedule, I gotta pick them for the win.

Ben Roethlisberger stopped his supply of devil blood last season and he did it on his motorcycle. Luckily Ben is still alive.

And FMT, I keep picking the Niners over Arizona. I have no faith in either team but I believe your crazy Niners message is getting to me. I will pick against them the rest of the season if they lose this game.

Nope. Joe Theisman said the Steelers could not repeat and with him being the dumbest man alive that all but guarantees an easy Steelers repeat. Joe Theisman's picks are even more powerful than Konex's picks.
