1) Are the items from the tree random or based on your rhythm? I mostly get leaves and the odd stone and branch.
2) Is there any way to continue fever mode after the rain juju thing?
Agent X said:Yep, I've tried that. The problem is that the timing is not clear. That's why I said it would have been nice if they had a tutorial portion that demonstrated what the timing is supposed to be. I don't know the timing, so it's become an arduous process of trial and error to try and guess the timing (since the obvious ones aren't working).
I gave three examples in my post. Are any of those even close, or am I way off? Based on the notation you see for other rhythms when you press Start, I would think it's the first one, but I've tried that many times and constantly failed.
Marconelly said:Oh and at the end of the Convoy escort mission, I've seen something that looked like hornet's nest hanging up on the tree, and it would swing back and forth as my arrows would hit it during the fight or crashing the barricade ahead. But when the barricade was broken, my Patapons didn't want to keep shooting at the nest to try to drop it down. What is this nest? Is it important?

Uh Oh, Gong the Hawkeye casts the doubt into my Patapons (and myself). Are Patapons doing something badly wrong here? Looks like Zigotons' sole purpose for fighting is not some blind hatred as I originally assumed, but it is just to prevent Patapons from ruining the world, which is what they believe will happen :\
the white blinking border frame thingy is your beat indicator, if you're having trouble sticking to the beat, just look at the the frame.Bebpo said:But after you put #10 in and it goes FEVER YAY YAY BLAH BLAH FEVER I find it really hard to find the start of the beat again since the music goes away and then comes back. It's frustrating because I think I'd probably be doing a lot more damage in fever mode and the battles wouldn't be so boring.
I'm surprised the game didn't debut with some crazy USB mini bongo array. It'd be brilliant if someone would go ahead and mod the RB kit for Patapon though, like you said.Jtwo said:10,000$ to the first person who mods the rockband drums to control patapon.

Thought what up? You must be doing something wrong like I did the first time. Pay attention what is written on the screen, You have to press O (as it says Pon on the screen) in the rhythm, and in the last part you have one [] (Pata, which is in different color)Bebpo said:Then I got to the tutorial for the rain song miracle and after 30 mins I'm done with this game. Whoever thought that up should be fucking fired.
I figured that would probably be it, but I went back to that level and it wasn't there anymore. Ah well, hopefully nothing important. Btw, you have one bigger ka-ching-giving flower growing up in one of the desert hunting levels, that grows up when you invoke the rain.Mejilan said:I remember seeing those before, and also flowers that behave similarly. Only ever strike-able by accident, as a consequence of an ongoing battle in their vicinity. In the demo, at least, they only ever dropped Kaching for me...

Invoking the rain is really, really ridiculously easy, so you must be doing something wrong.
Marconelly said:Is there a way to replace one of the Patapons you already have in the army with a better patapon I can build now that I have better meat and rocks? Or do I have to wait for one of them to fully die (be swallowed by one of the high-level bosses) so that I can replace him?
How high do bosses go if you keep killing them over and over. I've only gotten to one boss level 3, but I wonder if there's a good reason to keep killing them over and over? I've herad of Level 5 bosses, but do they go even higher? What happens when you kill the fully leveled boss?
Why are some of the VERY expensive patapons so... semi-adequate? I combined two tytanium ores to create what I believed will be a super-horseman (as it cost me 1000 coins! to create him!) and all I got was a horseman with pretty high HP, but pretty low hitting strength :\ The one I got by combining tytanium with regular stone gave me a horseman that was much cheaper and has much better hitting strength (and HP of 160, as opposed to 200 that I have on the two-tytanium one, so it's not that much worse there either)
Yeah, that's a shame, that level should start with fever I agree. I got through it on my third attempt so it wasn't that bad for me. My suggestion is to start the rain as late as possible (basically when you reach that sign that tells you to do so) then when you start the rain, build the fever again, keep it up for a few chanting rounds, then start the new rain again, before the previous one has ended. Repeat that a few times and that's it.Bebpo said:Why doesn't the tutorial just start in fever mode and then you do it?
Oni Jazar said:You don't have to fight him again when continuing after the demo. Maybe later you will want to but you definitely don't have to right away.
I played the demo, continued from its save, and mistakenly re-fought that boss 2nd time. But I didn't have to. I know I didn't have to because I could have fought him over and over again, and it's level just increases. Its level is printed on the mission select screen, right next to the boss description. However, you can progress the story without fighting him again. There must be another level that you can select or something else where you can go. I forgot what I had to do, but whatever it was, I only noticed that after fighting him again.Agent X said:What gives?
So I tried fighting the boss again (no level indicated), but it's much tougher than before.

Just in case it hasn't been posted. Some info on what to mix for what type of troop.
Agent X said:I figured there must have been something buggy about my old save file, so I deleted it and started my game over from the demo disc (since I want the Spear of Protection that the demo gives). I went through it, much more easily than the first time (since I'm accustomed to it and can get to Fever more quickly).
Then I pop in the full game to continue where I left off and AGAIN it's forcing me to fight that first boss (blue fire-breathing creature) that I already defeated in the demo. I can see the boss's corpse roasting in the campfire, yet Meden is telling me about the blank map again (the pre-boss dialogue) and on every screen other than the campfire screen, the game acts like I never even encountered the boss!
What gives?
So I tried fighting the boss again (no level indicated), but it's much tougher than before. It's screwy...in some ways the game is at pre-boss status, and in other ways (unfortunately the ways I don't want it to be) it seems to recognize that I'm "refighting" it and makes the boss a lot more powerful as a result.
Oni Jazar, I know you said in post #864 in this thread:
Was this from your own personal experience? Because now I've gone through this sequence twice, and both times it's forced me to fight him again to progress.
Did anyone else here play the demo, save the game, and then resume from the full game? If so, then I'd really like to know if it made you refight the first boss on the full game.
Wow, Firefox does not like that site. I get nothing but gray boxes where images should be.SnakeXs said:http://patapon.orgfree.com/combinations_axe.htm

Marconelly said:I got a vegetable from a plant rhythm minigame, but I have no idea what to do with this cabbage now. It's been sitting in my inventory for a while now, it says that Patapons love to eat it, but I don't know how to give it to them.
roxya said:Eventually you can get a cooking minigame that's actually quite fun (well I thought it was). You can cook the veggies into a soup that can be equipped at the place you decide which miracle to use. The soup increases the stats of your units by a LOT (if you ACE the minigame, that is). They make a huge difference.
Replicant said:How do you ace that minigame? Is there a specific time where you must cut the ingredients? I usually managed to cut one or two but there's always some ingredients that I fail to chop up. Also, does anyone know where I can get some Mytherial/Mythril?
Marconelly said:Man the story is getting quite intense in this game. It's amazing how much attention they paid to that, as well as the quality of dialogue. I'm starting to feel for ole' Gong, seeing himtalk to his ancestors, and how much he wants to stop his queen from selling her soul to the dark ones. And the queen, it looks like she basically wants to sacrifice herself just to make sure Patapons are stopped
Also the Priestess rescue mission was a riot.I have of course by mistake burned her prison car down, just as I assume most player have on their first attempt :lol
