Official Phil Harrison Keynote @ GDC Thread.

I have a feeling that I'm going to be left disappointed, but I hope we hear either directly or indirectly about what the f*ck CELLIUS is and what they are up to.

While Phil may not mention it in his speech, I wonder if one of the 1up guys maybe heard something and could comment.

Seeing as CELLIUS apparently started doing whatever it is they do yesterday I think we should be hearing something soon.

Yep, closest one to my job.

Unpacking it, I could hear the soundtrack to 2001.

exactly! hahaha. I remember taking the wrapping off the acctual console and just seeing that GIGANTIC shinny thing. Lifting it was hilarious as i realized how heavy it was.

I think the console looks ugly horizontal, verticle only for me, and hopefully it doesnt pull what my PS2 did and only work horizontal after years of abuse and use.

Ugh, this is ****ing terrible.

I need to pop into the shower so I can get ready for class and catch the keynote just as it happens, but the bathroom is totally shut down and I wonder why. Turns out some drunk idiot pooped in the shower stall and they have like a team of maintenance people in there disinfecting the entire thing.

This sucks.

Oh yeah, go Phil.

OK Prediction time...

Achievements will be tied to games with unlockable items such as rugs, carpets, paintings for you to put in your virtual HOME. Its basically the achievement system with items instead of gamerpoints.

There will also be a virtual Mii that you can customize to inhabit your virtual home. Now, as far as interaction is concerned, I really think it will be very basic. I think that you can take your virtual self online to talk and interact with others...trade items (achievements), purchase items, communicate, and other basic features. I kind of envision the lobby system from Phantasy Star Online as a template.

In a demonstration to media outlets on Tuesday night, Harrison also unveiled a new title, "LittleBigPlanet," which allows users to create their own games using materials found in the virtual world.

Already enough for it to be a megaton total conference. I mean, you go around the world, you wind a little toy car, and then you go home, set up books, and make a racing game out of that. It's like WHOAH!

Haha two years ago in a dorm I used to stay in someone took a shit in the shower and they had to bring in a "shit specialist" to have it removed before we could use the showers again. :lol

People will respect Sony: The time has come for video game journalists to stop earning a living bashing Sony and give the publisher its due. Tomorrow morning, the company will roll out its latest PlayStation 3 initiative as well as a very innovative video game, and anyone that criticizes them for that should be beaten. This is really cool stuff.

Warhawk rocks: Multiplayer-only Warhawk is lots of fun. People shoot from the ground. People shoot from the air. Things explode. We approve.

Thats because Phil is God of Sony and he is doing his magic.

Believe the hype.

I am not so sure. Home was started 2-3 years ago... CELLIUS started 2 months ago or less. You really expect something so soon? I doubt it, considering that they are building everything from scratch....

Calm down dude. You're excited like a kid. But I agree that Phil Harrison is the best guy to represent Sony.

So... to blow our whole load by downloading promo movies, podcasts, reading Killzone impressions..etc at 10:30 or do we enjoy the keynote and then go all out? That is the question..

This could get pretty hectic, what with prepared coverage and the keynote at 10.30. It's going to be fun juggling between the two..

Yeah, since that would go against all evidence and truth. That sort of business can tear holes in space/time.

I was just saying that it was a dissapointment.

Killzone impressions? Did I miss something? I thought there was no Killzone at GDC?
