What's most impressive about Sony to me is their ability to make things that appeal to both US, Europe, and Japan at the same time. Little Big World I could easily see Japanese people looking at this trailer and getting hyped.

11:00 a.m.: "Let's bring in our friend Adrien over into our apartment.... First thing we can do is change the wallpaper. This is a basic apartment, but very quickly we can change the look and feel. You could have something like Resistance: Fall of War wallpaper. This can become your clan's clubroom. All the communicaiton functionality works everywhere in home. Now you can also download additional furniture. It will either be free, premium items, or it couldb e linked to particular games as well."
11:01 a.m.: The menus used to change the wallpaper look elegant and flexible, just like the chatracter creation tools. No word on whether this furntiture you can download will be free or not. We imagine a variety of models could be used. We especially like the Eames chair ... we certainly can't afford one in real life. Let's hope the virtual counterpart is more affordable.
11:02 a.m.: "... it's also physics based.... you can pile all of your furniture in the corner if you so which you can take any content that's yours on your playstation 3 hard disk drive and display it. Let's put in some pictures that we have from our hard disk drive. Here we ahve some wonderful slides that we've been showing. Scott, point to different parts of the slides. Yes, here we go. Phil takes a camera out, take a picture of the audience, loads the Memory Stick (of course) into the PS3, and a picture of the audience should pop up. Unfortunately, they're on machine 4 (remember that glitch earlier?), so he used hte wrong unit. The audience appreciates his lighthearted tone. Phil laughs.

I don't care much for home, but Little Big Planet looks incredible! It's great Sony is offering both to cover a wide range of tastes. The avatars are great, I love how their hands stretch and stick to stuff, and the dude with the cape gets slowed down when other avatars trample it. The physics is incredible. Is this part of home, or a seperate donwload or a game? it's free right? not that it matters cuz I'd pay full price for a game like that.
Those character editors look far more in depth than in many games. I hope they can be implemented for SOME games, like Miis. For example, in a Tony Hawk game. It would be cool if they also supported face-mapping with the eye toy (of course this could cause problems, since any visual image could be mapped).

HOLY CRAP HOME IS SO MINE!!! Its free and it looks so BIG! Look at the enviroment outside!! The Sims totally owned! I was expecting something cool but non interactive! The hype was so high and they still delivered! Unheard of!
Littlebigplanet looks EXTREMELY pretty. Not my kind of game but its beautiful. PS3 is showing its power and justifies its existense.
