Official PSP Minis Thread

After doing some research, it looks like Beatshapers is the developer that ported Canabalt to Minis.

In other news, I just came across this video for an upcoming Minis game called Velocity:

This one's from FuturLab, the developers behind Coconut Dodge (which dropped to 99¢ this week). The game's graphics and audio are somewhat reminiscent of Amiga games (and I mean that in a good way).

Spreading some rumors here an interview with Beatshapers:

Currently, we have Canabalt and four more [upcoming] PlayStation Minis for the first half of 2012; one of those Minis will be a new Carnivores SKU.

Velocity's currently sitting at a 93 on Metacritic after 6 reviews, and that's not even counting the 5-star review it got from PSN Stores. That makes it not only the highest rated Mini, but also the highest rated PSP game overall. PlayStation Plus members have been enjoying the game for several days now, but the rest of North America gets access to it on Tuesday.

Yep. Good game. Maybe not the best, mind you, but still very good.

so which mini would you buy for the vita, if you only could buy a single one. i never played/bought a mini and i want to start off with something awesome. :)

Yeah, Velocity is great. Feels to me like Blazing Lazers with some puzzle elements. Which sounds...awesome. I got it for free from Plus, but would gladly would have bought it myself.
