Anybody else using Safari 4 on Mac, have problems playing videos on nfl.com? I don't know if I can handle a year without highlights - since I don't have time for the highlight shows at night.

Chalk me up as another who has no confidence in Kolb. That being said, I'm willing to give him a quarter until I fully decide on his awfulness.

How does Kolb keep making the team if they always have to bring another QB in?
He probably was a material witness in that case involving Reid's kids and when he forget about the dead hookers in their basement the coach decided to keep him on as McNabb's backup for the next few years.

Whatever the reason it sure as hell isn't what he has done on the field. The guy is flat out horrible and I don't see how the Eagles can beat any team with him behind center.

wait so they sign JGar only to play Kolb /confused

They signed Garcia to back up Kolb. With McNabb out and Vick ineligible, we needed a backup QB so we wouldn't have to have DJax behind center if Kolb gets injured.

Huh? No QB would have been signed if we had more than one healthy and active QB ready for Sunday.

AJ Feeley would have been insurance, not Garcia. I bet Garcia will be playing by the 2nd quarter.

Word is they contacted Feeley first but he already planned on going to Carolina where he has a real chance at being the starter the way Delhomme is trending. So obviously he is going to take that offer over a one week spot start for Philly. Garcia was the only viable option at that point.

Anyone who thinks/hopes Garcia will be able to reproduce the magic from '06 is deluding themselves. I'd rather have Kolb in there.

I'd rather have a Cobb salad in there. That guy's a bust.

Really? You know this after he has thrown 45 passes in the NFL? Interesting.

Not saying he's going to be awesome, but give the guy a chance at least.

Leodis McKelvin's front lawn got vandalized after his fumble: http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=4476626

Someone on the Bills message board went further to say the vandals painted this: "The vandals painted "TAKE A KNEE N**GER" on his lawn with the score on it...."

I'm upset as the next guy the Bills lost but damn, this is just wrong.

Pretty fucked up :/

Reminds me of the time Tommy Maddox made up a similar story after throwing away a game against the Jaguars.

I still contend he made the right move taking it out. If he doesn't the Pats get the extra time out from the two minute warning.

Yeah. Bills had two chances on D to stop the Pats, plus a full 50 seconds to get down the field into field goal range.

On a normal return, maybe, but they were set up for an onsides, so not only were blockers way out of position, but Buffalo's hands team was on the field. It was just a bad situation.

That's fine. But after the second and third contact is made, hell maybe even after the first, just get down on the freaking ground man!

I fully agree, but the way he went into contact, like Neon Deion after an INT, was retarded. As soon as you get near contact you need to cover up. It wasn't like he got blindsided, he ran right into the pile. TWO HANDS MOTHERFUCKER!!

That's where Merriweather hasn't gotten the deserved credit. He held him up, kept him from going down. Brilliant play.

And that's where his hesitation after the catch was coming from. It was just a bad play from a young guy and a great play from Merriweather.

I looked at that play again and Merriweather actually started the fumble. While holding him up he got the ball about half way out and the other guy came in and finished it.

Got to give credit to the kicker for the recovery. The bucs tried one of those open the second half with an onsides trickerations a couple of years ago with Grammatica. It worked and Grammatica was about 2 yards from the ball and the other teams player was about 8 or 9 yards from the ball. That pussy took one look at the other guy and fell to the ground.

I still contend that they should have risked it with the touchback.

NE would have effectively had three timeouts, yeah, but your blocking is out of position and Trent has been hot all quarter. You can trust him to get two first downs or at least push it out to the Bills 30 for the punt?.

Either way, he should've just laid down upon contact instead of fighting for extra yards. Also, is it too soon to drop Greg Olson from my fantasy team? Todd Heap is sitting right there for me...

Or you just do a Ted Ginn and fall down when you get within 3 yards of a defender. It's a smart move to save a timeout, you just have to avoid any potential for fumbles. Fall before contact.

The problem with that is that there was 2:08 left on the clock. The clock doesn't start until he gets the ball, so in order for him to run out the clock he had to stay upright for 8 seconds. So in his mind if he was coming out he wanted to run the clock past the 2 minute warning or else why bring it out at all.

2:06.

Yeah, you have the hands team and they aren't even set up to block. Then, you have him trying to get extra yards. He should have done what Welker did and just slid when he saw there was no out.

come on, are you going to ignore the Eagles defense that wrecked Carolina? The eagles aren't the lions. Their D looks as nasty as ever and if they bring the heat like they did against Carolina Saints o-line is in for a long day.

Funny that is everyone answer, to beat Drew and the Saints is to bring the heat, it is easier said then done. And I'm not talking about just this year against the Lions, in the Past two years Drew is one of the least sack QB in the league alot of it has to do with the line play, but more so with Drew ability to feel the rush and step up and make a play.

Worried about Sunday night. Our #2 and 3 CBs are still dinged up (they both missed game 1) and now BOTH of our starting safeties are hurt. We're only 3 deep at safety so this is a major problem. The difference between Dallas and Washington in terms of passing offense... is pretty big...

Nah, man, don't you know that was all Tom Brady! Nobody else had anything at all to do with that win, 'cept Tom Brady!

Giants' D is good enough to make any qb look stupid, and Romo's halfway to Campbell as it is.

...The Saints went 8-8 last season, all with Brees contending for the yardage record.

They're not unbeatable, and they haven't upgraded much if anything on defense.

last year was worst case of injuries I have seen on the saints in 20 years.. I didn't state we were unbeatable, just I dont think blitzing is the way to do it, more likely then not Drew will find the open guy when you blitz, was my point.

I'd say it's more about Brees releasing the ball on time, but yes, he's remarkable. Over 2007 and 2008, he attempted 853 passes and took 29 sacks. He's like the anti-Roethlisberger in that respect.

"Bring the heat" doesn't necessarily mean blitz all the time.

The Eagles were the #3 ranked defense last year. If they can get penetration on Brees before he can set up, that's half the game right there.

Should be a Great game, like always when we play the Eagles, is it Sunday yet.

I definitely want to see the Saints go against a good team before I make and judgments and that means waiting at least another week because Kolb is so fucking horrible that it would take a real effort from the Saints to lose the game. I don't see it happening.

And WTF is with these retards ranking the Pats as number one? They all seem to be basing this on what the Pats did in 2007, WTF kind of shit is that? The Pats offense didn't look anything like that one and I don't expect to see them putting up those numbers again. Not to mention that they got outplayed by the Buffalo fucking Bills!
