I am 525 months old.
And reading your posts, this place feels like retirement home for gamers, lol.
My grandfather was 60 in the late 90s and he wouldn't understand one hundredth of what we discuss here every day. How times and people have changed so fast.
I think a lot of forums are retirement homes for X, airliners.net, here on neogaf, newgrounds (trying hard to be relevant!), gamefaqs, survivalist boards, but like another poster said, venturing out of the web walled garden top 10 sites at all is now a mark of oldness
👴

Hell I'm still dressed today the same as when I was 14, baseball cap, t-shirt, running shoes and Adidas track pants 😃

Same here. When in street clothes I basically dress like I'm still 18-19. Today at the office I have on my usual jeans, black chuck taylor's and an old rage against the machine t shirt :messenger_sunglasses:

Perpetually stuck in the 90's

Oh god, look out Topher Topher this thread is a trap!

45 as well bro. I love gaming more now than I did when I was a kid because now I have less time for it and appreciate it all the more when I have the chance to sink my teeth into it.

Fuck these whippersnappers with their Fortnite and friendslop

42, honestly not sure what the hell happened.

Feel like there had to be a mistake on my birth certificate or something. I feel like I was college yesterday lol.

I joined this forum in my 20s, wild.

Be extremely unhappy and have no routines. Scientifically proven to extend subjective time!
The science says that big events as a kid are felt stronger, which creates the feeling that your teens and 20s were longer than they were.

And in your 30s and onward, you go years with few things that leave a mark and it feels like you can barely remember what happened last year.

As far as I can gather, it's about having goals that make life purposeful and you feel progression and goals coming to pass.

It's just that when job and kids take up your time, people don't have enough drive and discipline to make the little time you have useful.

So what I have to do, and most people post 35, is put a stake in the ground and commit to something a little each day, to work on something for a few years and reap what you sow, that hopefully feels important and meaningful in your life.

Internet and games occupy that time for me though, like for most. You just gotta find that thing that you feel for strongly enough to pull you out of it. But finding that conviction eludes the best of us.

37 right after E3 next month
40.

The youth don't care about forums, hence why we skew so old.

Forums was the main hub for things 10-15 years ago, so I guess it's in our blood.

Crosssing 40 is honestly the weirdest of times, everything on the internet is skewed for teenagers, because they are the most active on the internet, so everything is built for them.

It makes you feel so old when most of the content is driven by people 20 years younger. Even though 40 ain't old at all.

When I was 18, I thought of 30 as ancient, when I was 30, I though 40 was old man territory. Now that I am here, I feel like I won't be properly old until I am in my mid 60s.

I just need to figure out a way to make the years slow down because things are going by way too fast.
Is it stress and insecurity? cause I'm almost 37 and I'm past that point not less than 5 years and no more than 10 years ago. I could be wrong but life started to make sense when I made it all about myself, not gonna lie, I've made a lot of people angry since I started becoming selfish but down the road it's not a big deal to be socialist.

lol same. Most of my casual clothes are from this local brand targeting teens 13-18, caps, cargos and hoodies. I have siblings in early twenties and a 30 y/o fiancee, and they all keep taking the piss out of me looking like a literal manchild retard.

Best of all I have to wear super formal to work, but sometimes bump into my staff on weekends now and then, they either don't recognize me or it's a one big what the fuck

35 next month.

Chicks usually say I look younger than 30. :lollipop_content:

I never know how old I am.
Same lmao, sometimes I have to pull out the calculator, but that only works when I haven't forgotten the current year which also happens often. :goog_relieved:

A forum of people going for retirement, and yet we fight daily about missing frames, bad textures, and plastic boxes.

I guess this is what retirement home really feels like - just like kindergarten, but with grey beards and enlarged prostates.

What matters is your comfort.

I also learned long ago not to care what other people think about me.
I think you're that way too 😊

I'm 44. I honestly feel closer to 50. In the last year or so I feel like I got a lot older. I would have said I felt like I was 30-35 until the last six months. These days I just want to sleep, play my backlog, and retire.
